ITEA CONTINUED TO NAVIGATE THE IMPLICATIONS OF COVID-19 BY OFFERING A MIX OF LIVE AND VIRTUAL EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES TO ITS MEMBERS THIS YEAR. WE HELD ONE IN-PERSON EVENT AND CONTINUED TO OFFER ON-LINE COURSES TO THE COMMUNITY. WE WERE ABLE TO MEET OUR MISSION TO PROVIDE EDUCATION AND ENHANCE THE FUTURE TEST AND EVALUATION WORKFORCE IN 2021.

EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOPS AND EVENTS: AS WE CONTINUED TO NAVIGATE THROUGH THE NATIONAL PANDEMIC, OUR ORGANIZATION TOOK THE NECESSARY STEPS TO COMPLY WITH THE RESTRICTIONS BY THE CDC AND STATE GUIDELINES. WE DID HOST ONE LIVE EVENT IN ONE STATE AND CONTINUED TO HOST OTHER EVENTS IN A VIRTUAL SETTING. THE EDUCATIONAL OFFERINGS WERE HIGHLY REGARDED AS SUCCESSFUL IN CONTENT AND IN SOME CASES, EVEN ATTENDANCE.
GRANTS/SCHOLARSHIPS: OUR ASSOCIATION NOT ONLY PROVIDES EDUCATION TO THE PROFESSIONALS IN THE FIELD OF TEST AND EVALUATION, BUT WE ALSO PROVIDE FINANCIAL AID TO THOSE QUALIFYING STUDENTS ATTENDING OR SCHEDULED TO ATTEND AN INSTITUTION OF HIGHER LEARNING IE., UNIVERSITIES, COLLEGES, AND COMMUNITY COLLEGES IN TECHNICAL FIELDS SUCH AS THE SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING AND MATHEMATICAL STEM PROGRAM OR STEAM PROGRAM INCLUDING THE ARTS. THESE STUDENTS ARE THE FUTURE WORKFORCE IN OUR INDUSTRY, AND WE STRIVE TO ENGAGE THE YOUTH IN THE POTENTIAL CAREER OPPORTUNITIES IN THE TEST AND EVALUATION COMMUNITY. WE ALSO OFFER THE OPPORTUNITY FOR THE INSTITUTIONS TO PURCHASE NEEDED EQUIPMENT THAT HAS THE POTENTIAL TO IMPACT THEIR TECHNICAL CURRICULUM. THE ITEA SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM IS ADMINISTERED BY THE LEADERSHIP AT THE ITEA CHAPTERS WITH THE ASSISTANCE OF THE ITEA EXECUTIVE OFFICE AND UNDER THE COGNIZANCE OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS.
ANNUAL SYMPOSIUM: THE ASSOCIATIONS BIGGEST EDUCATIONAL EVENT, THE ANNUAL SYMPOSIUM WAS, ONCE AGAIN, HELD VIRTUALLY WITH A GOOD ATTENDANCE. THIS ANNUAL EVENT CONTINUES TO HAVE ONE FULL DAY OF TUTORIALS (4-HOUR SESSIONS BY INSTRUCTION), FOLLOWED BY TWO DAYS OF KEYNOTE SPEAKERS, PANEL DISCUSSIONS AND TECHNICAL BREAK-OUT SESSIONS. OUR ATTENDEES ARE COMPRISED OF GOVERNMENT, INDUSTRY, ACADEMIA PROFESSIONALS FROM THE US AND INTERNATIONALLY, IN THE TEST AND EVALUATION COMMUNITY.
