INSTITUTE FOR FREEDOMS, INC. (THE "INSTITUTE") IS A PLATFORM FOR CIVIC ENGAGEMENT, DISCOURSE, AND DIRECT ACTION FOR ARTISTS IN THE UNITED STATES. THE ORGANIZATION SEEKS TO REIMAGINE FRANKLIN DELANO ROOSEVELT'S FOUR FREEDOMS IN THE 21ST CENTURY, USING ART AS A TOOL TO ENGAGE IN CRITICAL AND COMPLEX IDEAS, ENABLING CITIZENS TO HAVE A GREATER UNDERSTANDING OF THE AMERICAN POLITICAL SYSTEM, AND ENGENDER DEEPER CIVIC PARTICIPATION. INSTITUTE FOR FREEDOMS WORKS WITH ARTISTS TO PRESENT NEW AND EXISTING WORK IN THE PUBLIC SPHERE, INCLUDING MUSEUMS, UNIVERSITIES, AND OUTDOOR ENVIRONMENTS.THE INSTITUTE INTENDS TO PRESENT EXHIBITIONS OF VISUAL ART, CURATE PUBLIC PROGRAMS, AND COLLABORATE WITH MUSEUMS, ARTS NON-PROFITS, AND CORPORATIONS ON ARTISTIC PROGRAMMING. PRESENTLY, THE INSTITUTE IS COLLABORATING ON A NATION-WIDE PUBLIC ART PROJECT WITH CONTEMPORARY ARTISTS, CIVIC LEADERS, STUDENTS, AND ARTS PROFESSIONALS.BILLBOARDS: IN THE NEXT YEAR, THE INSTITUTE WILL SPEND APPROXIMATELY THIRTY FIVE PERCENT (35%) OF ITS TIME ON EXPANDING ITS "50 STATE INITIATIVE." THE 50 STATE INITIATIVE AIMS TO SHARE CIVIC ARTWORK, ON BILLBOARDS, IN EVERY STATE IN AMERICA (AND PUERTO RICO AND WASHINGTON D.C.). THE INSTITUTE HOPES TO EXPOSE THE PUBLIC TO WORKS OF ART, SPECIFICALLY ART CREATED BY CIVICALLY MINDED ARTISTS. MUCH OF THE ARTISTRY THAT WILL BE PRODUCED IS INSPIRED BY NORMAN ROCKWELL'S WORK. MANY OF THE ART PIECES WILL ENCOURAGE PEOPLE TO VOTE AND BECOME POLITICALLY ACTIVE IN THEIR COMMUNITY. ALL CONTENT PRODUCED BY THE INSTITUTE WILL BE STRICTLY NONPARTISAN.TOWN HALLS: TWENTY FIVE PERCENT (25%) OF THE INSTITUTE'S TIME WILL BE DEVOTED TO CREATING AND PRODUCING "FREEDOM TOWN HALLS." THE FREEDOM TOWN HALLS ARE INTENDED TO DRIVE CIVIC ENGAGEMENT AND DYNAMIC DIALOGUE THROUGH ART PROJECTS. WORKS OF ART WILL BE DISPLAYED TO LARGE GROUPS OF PEOPLE WITH THE INTENT OF SPARKING PUBLIC DISCUSSION ON COMMUNITY ISSUES, SUCH AS FREEDOM OF SPEECH.EXHIBITS OF PUBLIC ART: THIRTY PERCENT (30%) OF THE INSTITUTE'S TIME WILL LIKELY BE DEVOTED TO COLLABORATING WITH MUSEUMS, GALLERIES, AND UNIVERSITIES, TO PRODUCE AND EXHIBIT PUBLIC ART. THESE INSTITUTIONS WILL EXHIBIT BILLBOARDS, LAWN SIGNS, AND PAINTINGS. THROUGH THESE INSTALLATIONS, THE INSTITUTE HOPES TO "EMPOWER EVERYONE ACROSS THE UNITED STATES TO FEEL WELCOME IN CIVIC CONVERSATIONS.STRATEGIC PLANNING: TEN PERCENT (10%) OF THE INSTITUTE'S TIME WILL BE DEDICATED TO STRATEGY FOR FURTHERING ITS CHARITABLE MISSION. THE DIRECTORS WILL MEET PERIODICALLY TO DISCUSS HOW BEST TO EFFECTUATE THE ORGANIZATION'S GOALS OF USING ART AS A TOOL TO ENGAGE CITIZENS IN IMPORTANT CIVIC DISCUSSIONS.
