LOBBYING WASHINGTON DC LEGISLATORS AND PENTAGON OFFICIALS TO EDUCATE THEM ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF NAVY BASE VENTURA COUNTY AND THE AIR NATIONAL GUARD 146TH AIRLIFT WING TO KEEP MORE THAN 9000 JOBS IN THE COUNTY WITH A PAYROLL THAT CONTRIBUTES MORE THAN $25 MILLION ANNUALLY TO THE LOCAL ECONOMY.
MEET WITH TOP LEVEL NAVY PERSONNEL FOR NAVSEA AND NAVAIR MISSIONS TO COORDINATE EFFORTS ON INTERACTION BETWEEN ACTIVITIES AT NAVY BASE VENTURA COUNTY AND THE HIGHER COMMANDS AS WELL AS EDUCATING THEM ABOUT THE MISSIONS OF OTHER TENANT ACTIVITIES AT THE BASE.
