IN 2021, BREAKING BARRIERS HAS 4 MAIN PROGRAMS: CIRCLES OF SUPPORT: WE HAD TWICE WEEKLY MEETINGS WITH PEOPLE RETURNING FROM INCARCERATION PROVIDING EMOTIONAL AND PRACTICAL SUPPORT FOR THAT FRAGILE AND DIFFICULT PERIOD. ALL OF US OR NONE: A PROGRAM OF LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT FOR PEOPLE IMPACTED BY INCARCERATION. THESE MEETINGS CONVENE WEEKLY. BREAKING BARRIERS YOUTH: IN ADDITION TO REGULAR (BUT NOT WEEKLY) MEETINGS THE BIG FALL EVENT IS THE BACK-TO-SCHOOL BACKPACK EVENT. MY SISTERS REUNITED: A LEADERSHIP AND COMMUNITY ORGANIZING PROGRAM FOR WOMEN IMPACTED BY INCARCERATION. IN ADDITION TO PARTICIPATING IN THE AOUON MEETINGS. THESE WOMEN ALSO MEET INDEPENDENTLY, TO PURSUE ISSUES SPECIFIC TO WOMEN. KENOSHA COR: AOUON ALSO HAS CREATED A HALF A DOZEN BIG PUBLIC EVENTS FOCUSING ON VIOLENCE PREVENTION IN KENOSHA. AOUON WAS INVITED TO KENOSHA AFTER AFTER THE SHOOTING OF JACOB BLAKE AND LATER AFTER THE SHOOTINGS BY KYLE RITTENHOUSE TO HELP KEEP THE PROTESTS NONVIOLENT. THESE LED TO A VIOLENCE PREVENTION PROGRAM SEPARATE, BUT COORDINATED WITH THE KENOSHA POLICE THAT IS CALLED KENOSHA COR.
