TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM: THIS PROGRAM MAKES GAS CARDS AND PARKING VOUCHERS AVAILABLE TO ENABLE CHILDREN WITH SOLID TUMOR CANCER TO RECEIVE TREATMENT. IN 2021, WE RECEIVED REQUESTS FROM SOCIAL WORKERS AT FOUR CHILDREN'S HOSPITALS IN THE NORTH TEXAS AREA. THE HOSPITALS COLLABORATE WITH US TO IDENTIFY THOSE IN NEED. IN 2021, WE HELPED 101 CHILDREN IN NEED.
SIBLING SUPPORT PROGRAM: CARSON'S CRUSADERS FOUNDATION SIBLINGS SUPERSTAR PROGRAM HOSTS EVENTS FOR THE BROTHERS AND SISTERS OF SOLID TUMOR CANCER PATIENTS. DURING THESE EVENTS, SIBLINGS HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO RELAX, HAVE FUN, AND BUILD RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHER KIDS WHO ARE IN SIMILAR SITUATIONS. BROTHERS AND SISTERS ARE THE STARS AT SIBLINGS SUPERSTARS EVENTS! IN 2021, DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, WE CANCELED ALL FAMILY EVENTS AND SOLELY MAILED GIFTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR IMPACTING OVER 95 FAMILIES AND MORE THAN 220 SIBLINGS.
PAINT THE TOWN GOLD: OUR CHILDHOOD CANCER AWARENESS PROGRAM COINCIDES WITH NATIONAL CHILDHOOD CANCER AWARENESS MONTH. THIS PROGRAM MAKES INFORMATION ABOUT THE SIGNS OF CANCER IN CHILDREN AVAILABLE TO PARENTS, HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS, AND THE COMMUNITY.
