THE MISSION OF THE BEAMAN HOME IS TO PROVIDE SHELTER, EDUCATION, AND CONFIDENTIAL SERVICES TO SURVIVORS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND SEXUAL ASSAULT BY EMPOWERING THEM TO LIVE LIFE FREE FROM ABUSE.

BEAMAN HOME EMERGENCY SHELTER - IN THE SAFE HAVEN OF THE SHELTER, EACH VICTIM RECEIVES A WARM BED, NUTRITIOUS MEALS, CLOTHING, AND OTHER PERSONAL CARE ITEMS. OUR TRAINED ADVOCATES ARE AVAILABLE 24/7 TO HELP WITH GOAL SETTING, TRANSPORTATION, AND ENCOURAGEMENT. EVERY INDIVIDUAL IS OFFERED THE OPPORTUNITY TO RECEIVE ONE-ON-ONE COUNSELING WITH A QUALIFIED COUNSELOR. DURING THEIR STAY THEY RECEIVE INDIVIDUALIZED CASE MANAGEMENT BASED ON THEIR PERSONAL CIRCUMSTANCES. THE OVERALL GOAL OF THE SHELTER PROGRAM IS TO HELP EACH VICTIM TAKE THE FIRST STEPS IN HIS OR HER JOURNEY TO BECOMING A DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SURVIVOR. OUR OTHER PROGRAMS CONTINUE TO HELP EACH FAMILY AFTER THEY HAVE EXITED THE SHELTER.


KOSCIUSKO RAPID REHOUSING PROGRAM - AN IMPORTANT PIECE TO OUR SERVICES TO ASSIST VICTIMS ON THEIR JOURNEY TO SURVIVOR IS THE OPPORTUNITY TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL AID AND ASSISTANCE TO A QUALIFIED DOMESTIC VIOLENCE VICTIM WHO WISHES TO ESTABLISH A STABLE HOME, FREE FROM ABUSE, FOR THEIR FAMILY. FOR OVER 15 YEARS, US DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT FUNDING HAS ALLOWED OUR PROGRAM TO ASSIST VICTIMIZED FAMILIES SECURE HOUSING, FURNITURE, AND OTHER BASIC NECESSITIES NEEDED TO SET UP A HOME. THE NEW RAPID REHOUSING FUNDING ALLOWS BEAMAN TO PROVIDE 6 MONTHS OF RENTAL ASSISTANCE, FOLLOWED BY AN ADDITIONAL 6 MONTHS OF CASE MANAGEMENT, TO HELP VICTIMS SUCCESSFULLY ESTABLISH A NEW, VIOLENCE-FREE LIFE AND BECOME SELF SUFFICIENT.
