TO USE THE KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE OF INDIVIDUALS BY UNITING TO FURTHER THE CONSERVATION OF LAND, WATER, FORESTS, WILDLIFE AND MINERALS AND TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ON THE IMPORTANCE OF SUCH PROPER CONSERVATION PRACTICES.

STEWARD THE ORGANIZATION'S DEDICATED CONSERVATION ACREAGE THROUGH SELECTIVE TIMBER THINNING/HARVESTING, MAINTENANCE OF WILDLIFE HABITATS AND ACCESS ROADS, AND PROVISION OF FEED FOR WILDLIFE DURING STRESSFULL WEATHER. CURRENTLY MAINTAIN 250 ACRES AVAILABLE TO PUBLIC FOR HIKING AND OTHER NON-INVASIVE RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES. USAGE IS AT-WILL, SO ACTUAL COUNT OF USERS IS NOT MONITERED. DURING THE YEAR THE ORGANIZATION ALSO ALLOWED TRUMBULL COUNTY BEAGLE CLUB TO USE THE PROPERTY AND THE HARTFORD PROPERTY IS AVAILABLE TO THE CLEVELAND MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY FOR THEIR NATIVE PLANT PROJECTS.


PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES IN PROPER WOODLAND BEHAVIOR AND SAFE HUNTING PRACTICES, WORKING WITH OHIO DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES, BOY SCOUTS, GIRL SCOUTS, EDDIE EAGLE GUN SAFETY PROGRAM AND THE HUNT OF A LIFETIME FOUNDATION. ALSO IN 2017 WAS A 6-WEEK PROGRAM SPECIFICALLY FOR APPROXIMATELY 2O AUTISTIC YOUTHS ON A 6 WEEK PROGRAM CAPPED OFF BY A SHOOTOUT AND INITIATED IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE GIRL SCOUTS. ALTOGETHER APPROXIMATELY 150 YOUTHS PARTICIPATED IN THE VARIOUS PROGRAMS IN 2017.
