Part 3 - Line 4a
WHILE NORMAL OPERATING HOURS AND STAFF SCHEDULING RESUMED IN 2021, WE RETAINED THE REMOTE WORK POLICY TO ENABLE STAFF TO WORK OFFSITE WHILE IN ISOLATION OR QUARANTINING. MONDAYS ARE RESERVED AS REMOTE DAYS FOR ALL STAFF UNLESS A PROJECT OR MEETING REQUIRES ONSITE PRESENCE. WHEN OHIO'S OPEN MEETINGS ACT WAS ALTERED TO ALLOW PUBLIC MEETINGS TO BE HELD VIRTUALLY, THE MUSEUM COMPLIED AND ALIGNED WITH THAT ADJUSTMENT TO EXTEND FLEXIBILITY TO BOARD MEMBERS IN THE FORM OF HYBRID MEETINGS DURING COVID. HOWEVER, ONCE THE STATE'S ALLOWANCE FOR VIRTUAL MEETINGS EXPIRED, WE NO LONGER ALLOWED VIRTUAL PARTICIPATION TO COUNT TOWARD QUORUM. PRODUCTION OF SOME PRINTED PIECES LIKE THE MEMBERS NEWSLETTER REMAINED ON HOLD DURING 2021, AS DID ENLISTMENT OF THE VOLUNTEER FORCE, WHICH WAS SUSPENDED IN MARCH 2020. THE 2021 ISLAND PARTY WAS HELD VIRTUALLY FOR THE SECOND YEAR IN A ROW, BUT ONSITE PROGRAMMING RESUMED, STARTING WITH THE BROWN BAG LUNCH LECTURE SERIES IN OCTOBER 2021. A PODCAST SERIES WAS LAUNCHED IN SPRING 2021, AND ONSITE ARTS PROGRAMMING IN THE FORM OF MONTHLY DO THE MU ART WORKSHOPS, TOURS FOR ADULTS AND STUDENTS, AND EXHIBITIONS CONTINUED.
