NORTH RIDGEVILLE SENIORS, INC. HELPS TO SUPPLEMENT PROGRAMS AND SERVICES FOR THE SENIOR CENTER. IN 2014, THEY PURCHASED A NEW WATER FOUNTAIN. THE VAN PURCHAED IN 2018 TRANSPORTS SENIORS TO MEDICAL APPOINTMENTS AND TRANSPORTATION TO SENIOR CENTER ACTIVITIES. IN ADDITION, THE VAN ALSO TRANSPORTS OLDER ADULTS TO SHOPPING, NURSING HOMES TO VISIT SPOUSES, LOCAL TRIPS AND MORE. A LOCK BOX PROGRAM, INTRODUCED IN 2007, PROVIDES A STRONG METAL BOX ON THE OUTSIDE OF A SENIORS' HOME. PAID FOR IN PART BY DONATIONS, THE MAJORITY OF THE COST IS PICKED UP BY N. RIDGEVILLE SENIORS. WORKING WITH THE LOCAL FIRE DEPARTMENT WHO INSTALLS THE BOXES, THESE PROVIDE EASY ACCESS TO AN OLDER ADULT'S HOME WHEN THEY NEED EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES.
