THE SPIRIT OF CLEVELAND SERVED AS FISCAL AGENT FOR THE CLE RISING INITIATIVE. IN ADDITION, EMPLOYEES FROM THE CONVENTION AND VISITORS BUREAU OF GREATER CLEVELAND, INC. (A RELATED ORGANIZATION), DONATED TIME AND RESOURCES SERVING IN ROLES MANAGING STRATEGY, PROJECTS, AND COMMUNICATIONS. CLE RISING IS A COMMUNITY-WIDE EFFORT TO BUILD TRUST AND ALIGN ON AN INCLUSIVE VISION FOR GREATER CLEVELAND'S ECONOMIC FUTURE. THE CLE RISING SUMMIT (HELD OCT. 29-31, 2019) WAS THE PRIMARY COMMUNITY CONVENING EVENT; ITS RESULTING WORK WAS DESIGNED TO STRENGTHEN THE TRUST WITHIN THE COMMUNITY, CREATING A FOUNDATION FOR SUSTAINABLE REGIONAL ECONOMIC GROWTH AND EQUITABLE OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALL GREATER CLEVELANDERS TO THRIVE.
THE SPIRIT OF CLEVELAND RECEIVED A GRANT FROM THE KEYBANK FOUNDATION FOR THE DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF AN EDUCATIONAL SERIES ABOUT MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS FOR SMALL AND MEDIUM-SIZED HOSPITALITY BUSINESSES, WITH A FOCUS ON MINORITY-OWNED ORGANIZATIONS. EMPLOYEES FROM THE CONVENTION AND VISITORS BUREAU (A RELATED ORGANIZATION) DONATED TIME AND RESOURCES TO THE INITIAL STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT AND RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT WITH IDENTIFIED COMMUNITY PARTNERS FOR THE SERIES.
