CARING HANDS PROVIDES SERVICES TO PATIENTS IN NEED IN THE STATE OF OHIO'S MEDICAID PASSPORT PROGRAM, DEPARTMENT OF VETERAN'S SERVICES HOME CARE PROGRAM AND LOCAL CARE GRANT PROGRAMS. MORE THAN 75% OF PATIENTS SERVED BY CARING HANDS ARE MEDICAID ELIGIBLE. CARING HANDS, INC. PROVIDED 63,551 HOURS OF HOMEMAKING AND PERSONAL CARE SERVICES TO 190 PATIENTS. THESE SERVICES INCLUDED DRESSING, BEDTIME CARE NEEDS, HOUSEKEEPING, LAUNDRY, RUNNING ERRANDS, MAKING MEALS, AND COMPANIONSHIP ON AN HOURLY, DAILY, OR WEEKLY BASIS AS NEEDED. IN ADDITION, CARING HANDS PROVIDED EMERGENCY RESPONSE DEVICES TO ALLOW 145 PATIENTS TO MAINTAIN THEIR INDEPENDENCE AND REMAIN IN THEIR HOMES.
