CAMPS AND CHILD CARE PROGRAMS - THE YMCA OF WAYNE COUNTY PROVIDES QUALITY BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS. ACTIVITIES INCLUDE HOMEWORK TIME, SPORTS, AND FITNESS ACTIVITIES, CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT AND ARTS AND CRAFTS. THE YMCA OF WAYNE COUNTY ALSO MANAGES THE LEARNING ACADEMY DAY CARE CENTER LOCATED IN LUK'S STATE-OF-THE-ART LUK ACADEMY. THIS CENTER SERVES CHILDREN RANGING IN AGE FROM INFANTS TO PRE-K. THE YMCA OF WAYNE COUNTY ALSO MANAGES THE CREATIVE ACADEMY CHILDCARE CENTER LOCATED IN THE FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH IN WOOSTER. THIS CENTER SERVES CHILDREN RANGING IN AGE FROM 18 MONTHS TO SECOND GRADE.
THE YMCA OF WAYNE COUNTY'S WOODLAND SITE PROVIDES EXCELLENT SEPARATE STAFFED YOUTH AND ADULT WELLNESS CENTERS, WITH CARDIO-VASCULAR AND STRENGTH TRAINING MACHINES, ADULT FREE WEIGHTS, A GYMNASIUM, RACQUETBALL COURTS, AND AN AEROBICS STUDIO. A VARIETY OF CLASSES ARE OFFERED INCLUDING KICK BOXING, YOGA, SPINNING, AEROBICS AND PILATES.
AQUATICS - IN ADDITION TO PROVIDING SPECIFIC SKILLS, THESE PROGRAMS PROMOTE GOOD HEALTH, TEAMWORK, SELF-CONFIDENCE, AND LEADERSHIP.
TEAM SPORTS & FITNESS CLASSES - INCLUDE VOLLEYBALL, BASKETBALL, GYMNASTICS, FOOTBALL & FITNESS CLASSES ARE DSIGNED TO HELP PARTICIPANTS IMPROVE SKILLS AND FOCUS ON TEAMWORK AND SOCIAL INTERACTION.
