CULTURE SHOCK'S TRAINING ACADEMY OFFERS 50+ COMMUNITY DANCE CLASSES EACH WEEK TO UP TO 1,300 DANCERS OF ALL LEVELS OF EXPERIENCE. THE FULL TIME TRAINING ACADEMY MANAGER PROVIDES OVERSIGHT TO FIVE HIHGLY SKILLED INSTRUCTORS WHO PROVIDE THE BEST TRAINING AND TOOLS TO HELP DANCERS FULFILL THEIR POTENTIAL IN BOTH FITNESS AND DANCE. DANCE INSTRUCTION IS PROVIDED IN STYLES SUCH AS HIP HOP CHOREOGRAPHY, GROOVES, HOUSE, DANCEHALL JAZZ FUNK, BREAKING, CARDIO HIP-HOP AND CONTEMPORARY. THE COST TO ATTEND CLAS AT THE TRAINING ACADEMY IS $15. BULK CLASS PURCHASES ARE ALSO AVAILABLE AT A DISCOUNTED RATE. ANNUALLY, THE TRAINING ACADEMY CAN ACCOMMODATE 72,000 DANCERS.
CULTURE SHOCK'S DANCE TROUPE PROGRAM OPERATES FOUR DANCE TROUPES OFFERING TRAINING, REHEARSAL, AND PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES TO DANCERS WITH VARYING EXPERIENCE AND SKILL. OVERSIGHT TO THE DANCE TROUPES IS PROVIDED BY THE PART TIME TROUPE PROGRAM MANAGER WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ORGANIZING WORKSHOPS, AUDITIONS, REHEARSAL SPACE AND TO BOOK PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES. EACH TROUPE UTILIZES A PART-TIME DIRECTOR AND ASSISTANT DIRECTOR WHO OFFER LEVEL APPROPRIATE CHOREOGRAPHY AND PHYSICAL FITNESS CONDITIONING. THE DANCE TROUPLES CREATE FRESH, INNOVATIVE CHOREOGRAPHY THAT INCORPORATES SUCH DANCE STYLES AS HIP HOP, BREAKING, POPPING, LOCKING AND WHACKING. PARTICIPATION IN THE DANCE TROUPE HELPS DANCERS DEVELOP A SENSE OF COOPERATION, PROFESSIONALISM, SELF-RESPECT AND ACCEPTANCE. AN ESTIMATED 120 DANCERS PARTICIPATED IN CULTURE SHOCK DANCE TROUPES IN 2021.
