THE DALLAS-FORT WORTH METROPLEX IS A MAJOR HUB FOR HUMAN TRAFFICKING. THE MOST VULNERABLE TO VICTIMIZATION ARE WOMEN WITH A HISTORY OF DOMESTIC ABUSE, DRUG DEPENDENCY, AND HOMELESSNESS. VALIANT HEARTS HAS BEEN WORKING TO HEAL, RESTORE, AND EMPOWER SEXUALLY EXPLOITED WOMEN THROUGH COMPASSIONATE AND CUSTOMIZED CARE SINCE 2011. OUR ORGANIZATION OFFERS HOLISTIC WRAP-AROUND SUPPORT TO WOMEN AGES 17 AND OLDER TO HELP BREAK THE CYCLE OF ABUSE, RESTORE SELF-SUFFICIENCY, AND INFUSE A RENEWED SENSE OF STRENGTH, DIGNITY AND WORTH. OUR SERVICES INCLUDE: HOUSING, ADVOCACY, SUPPORT GROUPS, COUNSELING, CASE MANAGEMENT, MENTORING, AND ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT.

THE CHERISHED HOUSING PROGRAM PROVIDES A SAFE SPACE OF HEALING TO WOMEN WHO ARE FLEEING THEIR TRAFFICKERS OR STRUGGLING TO REGAIN THEIR INDEPENDENCE. THE PROGRAM PROVIDES 30 DAYS OF FOOD, CLOTHING, LICENSED PROFESSIONAL COUNSELING, AND ENRICHMENT CLASSES TO GUIDE THE WOMEN FROM CRISIS MODE TO STABILIZATION. THE STAFF PROVIDES 24/7 TRAUMA-INFORMED CARE TO PROMOTE EMOTIONAL REGULATION WITH LONG-TERM PLACEMENT AS THE GOAL. WE PROVIDE SAFE SHELTER FOR WOMEN AND MANY WERE SUCCESSFULLY PLACED IN A RESOTRATION HOME. OUR GOAL IS TO ANNUALLY ASSIST 36 WOMEN ACHIEVE EMOTIONAL STABILITY AND GAIN LIFE SKILLS NEEDED TO SUCCESSFULLY TRANSITION INTO A LONG-TERM RESTORATION HOUSING PROGRAM.
COMPREHENSIVELY, OUR ORGANIZATION SERVED A NUMBER OF WOMEN VIA CASE MANAGEMENT,COUNSELING, SUPPORT GROUPS, AND MENTORING. WE HAVE PROVIDED FUNDS TO ASSIST SURVIVORS WITH RENT, UTILITIES, MORTGAGE PAYMENTS, TUITION PAYMENTS, FOOD AND BASIC NEEDS CARE PACKAGES. ADDITIONALLY, WE CONTRACTED WITH TWO SURVIVOR OWEND BUSINESSES CONTRIBUTING TO THEIR ECONOMIC STABILITY AND FREEDOM.
DURING THE PANDEMIC, OUR FACE TO FACE SERVICES WERE LIMITED AND WE UTILIZED CREATIVE OUTREACH METHODS AND COMMUNITY PARTNERS TO REACH THE WOMEN. OUTREACH MINISTRIES HAVE BEGUN TO REENGAGE AND MANY WERE REACHED AND PROVIDED WITH PRINTED MATERIALS AND GIFTS.
