TO PROVIDE FOR THE CONTINUED ECONOMIC AND ARCHITECTURAL SOUNDNESS OF THE DOWNTOWN AREA OF THE CITY OF TROY, OHIO,WITH A COMPREHENSIVE REVITALIZATION STRATEGY TO STIMULATE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND TO ACT AS LIAISON BETWEEN THE DOWNTON BUSINESSES AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT. THE MISSION OF TROY MAIN STREET IS TO COORDINATE THE EFFORTS OF ALL THOSE DEDICATED TO MAKING DOWNTOWN TROY A BETTER PLACE TO LIVE, WORK, SHOP, CELEBRATE, AND INVEST.

IN 2022 TROY MAIN STREET PLACED 52 POTS FILLED WITH FLOWERS ALONG DOWNTOWN SIDEWALKS AND STOREFRONTS; PARTNERED WITH OVER 20 LOCAL NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS TO INCREASE THEIR EXPOSURE, KEEP THE DOWNTOWN LITTER FREE, AND OFFER ACTIVITIES TO THE COMMUNITY; CREATED GUIDELINES FOR A MURAL PROGRAM THAT WILL BE IMPLEMENTED IN 2023; WORKED WITH THE CITY OF TROY TO IMPLEMENT A FAADE GRANT PROGRAM FOR DOWNTOWN BUSINESSES; SURVEYED OUR DOWNTOWN BUSINESSES TO SEE HOW THE DORA WAS WORKING AND WHAT CHANGES WOULD BE HELPFUL AND RECOMMENDED THOSE CHANGES TO THE TROY CITY COUNCIL; WORKED WITH CITY STAFF TO HELP REWRITE THE DESIGN GUIDELINES USED BY THE CITYS PLANNING COMMISSION. IN 2022, TROY MAIN STREET ALSO HOSTED 40 DAYS OF EVENTS INCLUDING: FIRST FRIDAY EVENTS EVERY MONTH THE CHOCOLATE WALK FRIDAYS ON PROUTY CONCERTS NONPROFIT NIGHT HOMETOWN HALLOWEEN ENCHANTED WONDERLAND WEEKEND SANTA HOUSE VISITS VOLUNTEER INFORMATION: IN 2022, TROY MAIN STREET VOLUNTEERS, SPENT OVER 1,346 HOURS VOLUNTEERING WITH TROY MAIN STREET TO HELP PLAN AND HOST EVENTS, CLEAN UP DOWNTOWN, SERVE AS BOARD MEMBERS, ETC. IN 2022, TROY MAIN STREET GAINED 3 NEW VOLUNTEERS. IN 2022 TROY MAIN STREET WAS ONCE AGAIN ACCREDITED AS A NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED MAIN STREET PROGRAM THROUGH HERITAGE OHIO.
