E3 - EDUCATE, EMPOWER AND ELEVATE IS A CORE PROGRAM DESIGNED TO SUPPORT WOMEN IN CAREER TRANSITION IN DEVELOPING AND IMPLEMENTING A CAREER DEVELOPMENT PLAN IN A SMALL INTENSIVE AND SUPPORTIVE GROUP ENVIROMENT. THROUGH COURSEWORK IN PERSONAL BRANDING, CAREER IDENDITY, COMMUNICATION, NETWORKING, JOB SEEKING SKILLS, FINANCIAL WELLNESS AND SELF COMPASSION. WOMEN CREATE AND IMPLEMENT A REALISTIC AND SMART CAREER PLAN. E3 IS OFFERED IN SPRING SEMESTER FOR WOMEN WHOSE CAREER PLAN REQUIRES THEM TO PERSUE ADDITIONAL EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING. INCLUDES PROFESSIONAL MENTORSHIP PAIRED WITH COURSE CONTENT IN AREAS SUCH AS POST-SECONDARY EXPLORATION, PERSONAL FINANCES, STUDY STRATEGIES AND CREATION OF A 2 YR CAREER/EDUCATION PLAN. WORKSHOPS CONSIST OF A MENU OF CAREER DEVELOPMENT TOPICS THAT CAN BE FACILITATED REMOTELY OR IN PERSON, A LA CART OR IN THEMATIC SEQUENCES. NEW DIRECTIONS OFFERS SEVERAL WORKSHOPS MONTHLY TO OUR CLIENTS AND COMMUNITY PARTNERS. PARTNERS CAN ALSO OPT TO HOST A WORSHIP FOR THEIR CLIENTS WHERE NEW DIRECTIONS WILL PRESENT. INDIVIDUAL SERVICES, CLIENTS HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO ACCESS ONE-ON-ONE SUPPORT FOR THEIR CAREER DEVELOPMENT PLAN (RESUME BUILDING, CAREER COUNSELING, INTERVIEW PREP ETC). WOMEN'S ADVOCACY IS A LEADERSHIP AND NON-PROFIT BOARD TRAINING PROGRAM
TECH WOMEN OF COLOR (TWOC)IS A PARTNERSHIP WITH PER SCHOLAS COLUMBUS. THE TRAINING INCLUDES A TUITION-FREE, 15-WEEK COURSE AND WILL PREPARE WOMEN WITH PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND TECHNICAL SKILLS. TWOC IS DESIGNED FOR WOMEN AND OFFERS THE OPPORTUNITY TO EARN CISCO IT ESSENTIALS AND NETWORKING ESSENTIALS CERTIFICATIONS, EQUIPPING WOMEN WITH THE KNOWLEDGE TO FILL A WIDE RANGE OF ENTRY-LEVEL TECH JOBS. THIS COURSE ALSO INCLUDES AN INTEVSIVE SUPPORT GROUP ENVIROMENT WITH TOPICS ON IDENTITY, SELF CARE, SELF ESTEEM, COMMUNICATION, FINANCIAL WELLNESS AND MENTOR PROGRAM.
