SHELTER OPERATIONS FAS OPERATES TWO SHELTER FACILITIES IN TROY, OHIO. WHILE IN SHELTER CARE, RESIDENTS ARE PROVIDED WITH CASE MANAGEMENT, CRISIS COUNSELING, REFERRAL SERVICES, AND EMERGENCY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO HELP THEM WITH OBTAINING PERMANENT HOUSING, EMPLOYMENT, AND LEGAL PROTECTION AND TO HELP THEM OVERCOME BARRIERS THAT HAVE PROVIDED THEM FROM MAINTAINING SAFE AND PERMANENT HOUSING IN THE PAST. FRANKLIN HOUSE PROVIDES SHORT-TERM EMERGENCY SHELTER TO WOMEN AND CHILDREN. BUCKEYE HOUSE PROVIDES SHORT-TERM EMERGENCY SHELTER AND SERVICES TO HOMELESS MEN. ADVOCACY AND EDUCATION FAS HELPS VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE WITH REFERRALS, COURT ADVOCACY AND SAFETY PLANNING AND THE AGENCY STRIVES TO PROTECT VICTIMS RIGHTS THROUGH COLLABORATION WITH THE COURT SYSTEM AND OTHER PUBLIC AGENCIES.
