RMHC OF CENTRAL OHIO PROVIDES FAMILIES OF SERIOUSLY-ILL CHILDREN WITH A HOME-AWAY-FROM-HOME WHEN THEY NEED IT THE MOST. FAMILIES ARE PROVIDED WITH COMFORTABLE BEDROOMS, PRIVATE BATHROOMS, WARM MEALS, AND ALL THE AMENITIES OF HOME. WE PROVIDE OUR SERVICES TO FAMILIES WITH A HOSPITALIZED CHILD AT NATIONWIDE CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL, OHIOHEALTH SYSTEMS, MOUNT CARMEL HEALTH SYSTEMS, AND THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY WEXNER MEDICAL CENTER. AS THE LARGEST RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE IN THE WORLD WITH 122 GUEST ROOMS WE SERVE NEARLY 4,500 FAMILIES ANNUALLY.
THE RONALD MCDONALD CARE MOBILE IS A STATE-OF-THE-ART MOBILE MEDICAL UNIT DESIGNED TO MEET THE NEEDS OF UNDERSERVED PEDIATRIC PATIENTS IN CENTRAL AND SOUTHEASTERN OHIO. THE MOBILE CARE UNIT PROVIDES WELLNESS SCREENINGS, IMMUNIZATIONS, HEARING, VISION, AND DEVELOPMENT SCREENINGS AND MORE. ADDITIONALLY, CONSULTATION SERVICES ARE OFFERED TO LOCAL HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS AS REQUESTED.
THE RONALD MCDONALD FAMILY ROOM PROVIDES A FAMILY GATHERING PLACE AT A LOCAL HOSPITAL FOR FAMILIES. IT IS DESIGNED TO MAKE THEIR TIME SPENT AT THE HOSPITAL MORE CONVENIENT AND COMFORTABLE. THE ORGANIZATION RECEIVES ITS FUNDING FROM THE GENERAL PUBLIC IN THE FORM OF CONTRIBUTIONS OF CASH, GOODS AND SERVICES.
