BRUKNER NATURE CENTER IS A PRIVATELY FUNDED NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION PROMOTING THE APPRECIATION AND UNDERSTANDING OF WILDLIFE CONSERVATION THROUGH EDUCATION, PRESERVATION AND REHABILITATION. IN 2021 OVER 135,000 PEOPLE VISITED BRUKNER NATURE CENTER TO ENJOY A HIKE IN THE WOODS, A VISIT WITH OUR WILDLIFE AMBASSADORS OR ATTEND AN EVENT. WE REACHED OVER 14,000 PEOPLE THROUGH OUR INNOVATIVE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING, BOTH DURING ON-SITE VISITS AND OUTREACH EVENTS. WE ACCEPTED 1,668 WILD PATIENTS INTO OUR WILDLIFE REHABILITATION UNIT FROM 23 OHIO COUNTIES AND SUCCESSFULLY RELEASED OVER 32% OF THEM BACK INTO THE WILD.
