KAYAK PITTSBURGH OPERATED TWO RENTAL CONCESSIONS ON PITTSBURGH AREA WATERWAYS, AT DOWNTOWN'S NORTH SHORE AND NORTH PARK. OVER 11,800 PEOPLE RENTED KAYAKS, CANOES, STAND UP PADDLE BOARDS, AND PEDAL BOATS TO ENJOY OUR LOCAL WATERWAYS.
VENTURE OUTDOORS PROVIDED 441 CUSTOM PROGRAMS TO OVER 4,708 PARTICIPANTS INCLUDING SCHOOLS, UNIVERSITIES, SUMMER PROGRAMS, SENIORS, SCOUTS, AND ADAPTIVE RECREATION USERS PROGRAMS INCLUDING HIKING, BIKING, FISHING, KAYAKING, GEOCACHING, SNOWSHOEING, HORSEBACK RIDING AND ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION.
PUBLIC OUTINGS WERE CONDUCTED WITH OVER 130 EVENTS AND 1,427 PARTICIPANTS, HELPING PARTICIPANTS EXPERIENCE HOW BEING OUTDOORS HELPS GAIN CONFIDENCE WHILE HAVING FUN IN THE OUTDOORS PROGRAMS INCLUDED HIKING, BIKING, URBAN WALKS, BACKPACKING, PADDLING, SNOWSHOEING, FISHING, AND GEOCACHING.
ALL OTHER PROGRAMS CONSIST OF COMMUNITY, UNIVERSITY, MEMBERSHIPS, AND VENTURE OUTDOORS AGAIN PROGRAMMING.
