CBCNOW DANCE THEATER PROVIDED AN ONLINE VIEWING AND DISCUSSION OF A FINAL VIDEO WORK AND SUMMARY OF NOW-ID CREATION 'THE MOVE', A WORK CREATED PRIMARILY DURING A DRIVE FROM LUBBOCK, TEXAS TO THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST AND INCLUDED THE CREATION, RECORDING AND PRESENTATION OF FREE DANCE THEATER PERFORMANCE WORKS AND OTHER ACTIVITIES PRIMARILY IN SANTA FE, NEW MEXICO AS WELL AS BOTH CANYONLANDS AND SALT LAKE CITY IN UTAH. IN ADDITION TO RESPONDING TO SPECIFIC ENVIRONMENTS, THE PROJECT INCLUDED THE COLLECTION OF ARTEFACTS AND STORIES ALONG THE WAY, IN A MOBILE MEMORIAL - THE OBJECTS WERE A COLLECTION OF ITEMS DONATED BY FRIENDS, COLLABORATORS AND RANDOM GENERAL PUBLIC UPON THE PROMPT TO PROVIDE SOMETHING THAT WANTED TO PASS ON, TO TRAVEL OR MEMORIALIZE. NOTE THAT FUNDING FROM PRIOR FISCAL YEAR ALLOWED FOR THE CREATION OF 4A PROGRAMING 'THE MOVE', AS WELL AS IN KIND FUNDING FOR ARTISTS, PROPS AND ACCOMMODATIONS, AND FURTHER MADE POSSIBLE WITH VOLUNTEER TIME.
ARTISTIC DIRECTOR AND CHOREOGRAPHER CHARLOTTE BOYE-CHRISTENSEN CREATED A DANCE ON FILM WORK ON THE STUDENTS AT WATERFORD SCHOOL IN SANDY, UTAH. OTHER EXPENSES ASSOCIATED WITH THE PROJECT WERE COVERED DIRECTLY BY WATERFORD SCHOOL, SUCH AS FOR A VIDEOGRAPHER AND FILM EDITOR.
ARTISTIC DIRECTOR AND CHOREOGRAPHER CHARLOTTE BOYE-CHRISTENSEN OFFERED ONLINE CONTEMPORARY TECHNIQUE CLASSES.
CBCNOW DANCE THEATER HAS COLLABORATED WITH PAINTERS SUSAN BECK AND BONNIE SUCEC TO CREATE A BOOK CHRONICLING THEIR COLLABORATIVE WORKS. THE BOOK TOOK LONGER TO COMPLETE THAN PLANNED, BUT IS NOW COMPLETE AS OF SPRING 2022 AND IS CURRENTLY BEING OFFERED BOTH AS GIFTS AND FOR SALE.
