PROMOTING THE ARTS THROUGH THE ANNUAL ART BATTLE. THE WICHITA FALLS ART ASSOCIATION HELD THREE ART BATTLE EVENTS IN 2022. FIRST, WAS THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP ART BATTLE HELD APRIL 1 AT THE MPEC. FOR THIS EVENT THERE WERE 13 COMPETITORS, TWO PRE-SHOW ARTISTS, 45 VOLUNTEERS AND ARTISTS GUESTS, WITH 580 ADDITIONAL ATTENDEES.THE SECOND EVENT WAS A LOCAL BATTLE HELD AUGUST 20 AT BIG BLUE. FOR THIS EVENT THERE WERE 11 COMPETITORS, TWO PRE-SHOW ARTISTS, 33 VOLUNTEERS AND ARTISTS GUESTS, WITH 244 ADDITIONAL ATTENDEES.THE THIRD EVENT WAS A LOCAL BATTLE HELD NOVEMBER 12 AT BIG BLUE. FOR THIS EVENT THERE WERE 12 COMPETITORS, TWO PRE-SHOW ARTISTS, 35 VOLUNTEERS AND ARTISTS GUESTS, WITH 233 ADDITIONAL ATTENDEES.
THE WICHITA FALLS ART ASSOCIATION GALLERY PROVIDES A MEDIUM IN WHICH THE PUBLIC CAN VIEW VISUAL ART FORMS BY LOCAL ARTISTS, INCLUDING FINE ART IN ALL MEDIUMS AS WELL AS ARTISAN CRAFTED CERAMICS, STAINED GLASS, MOSAICS, JEWELRY, WEARABLE ART, AND MORE.
