DURING THE 2023 TAX YEAR, BIKES FOR THE WORLD (BFW) ENLISTED THE PARTICIPATION AND ASSISTANCE OF SOME 60 U.S. COMMUNITY SERVICE INDIVIDUAL VOLUNTEERS TO COLLECT 11,915 USED BICYCLES AND DONATE THEM TO PROGRAM PARTNERS IN 10 COUNTRIES: THE U.S. EL SALVADOR, COSTA RICA, BARBADOS, GHANA, BURKINA FASO, MADAGASCAR, RWANDA, SIERRA LEONE, AND KENYA. BICYCLES DONATED ABROAD PROVIDED ACCESS TO EMPLOYMENT, SKILLS TRAINING, EDUCATION, AND HEALTH CARE. BICYCLES DONATED IN THE UNITED STATES PROVIDED TRANSPORTATION TO LOW-INCOME WORKERS, AND TRAINING AND RECREATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR AT-RISK YOUTH. BFWS VOLUNTEER-BASED EFFORTS PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL AND REWARDING COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES TO VOLUNTEERS OF ALL AGES, ENABLING MANY TO MEET SERVICE REQUIREMENTS FOR HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION, BOY SCOUT AND GIRL SCOUT EAGLE AND GOLD RANKS, BAR MITZVAH SERVICE, AND MORE.
