WHIDBEY ISLAND NOURISHE'S (WIN) PRIMARY ACTIVITY IS TO PROVIDE SOUTH WHIDBEY CHILDREN AND TEENS NUTRITIOUS FOOD FOR WEEKENDS AND SCHOOL VACATIONS. THE FOOD WIN DISTRIBUTES IS EITHER HEALTHY LUNCH-BASED GROCERY ITEMS OR READY TO EAT SACK LUNCHES. EACH ENROLLED CHILD RECEIVES ENOUGH FOOD FOR TWO LUNCHES PER WEEKEND.MEALS ARE DISTRIBUTED TO STUDENTS AT SCHOOL TO TAKE HOME OR DELIVERED DIRECTLY TO THEIR HOUSEHOLD. READY-TO-EAT LUNCH ITEMS ARE ALSO MADE AVAILABLE TO COMMUNITY PARTNERS TO DISTRIBUTE TO YOUTH THEY SERVE.
