HKI WELLNESS SCREENINGS PROGRAM FOR ELEMENTARY STUDENTS IDENTIFIES POTENTIAL ISSUES & RECOMMENDS REFERRALS FOR FOLLOW-UP & MONITORING CARE. HKI SCREENINGS PROGRAM SCREENED APPROXIMATELY 17,000 STUDENTS DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR.


HKI WELLNESS CENTER IN BELTON, MISSOURI, CATERS TO AN UNDER-SERVED POPULATION WHERE SUBURBAN SPRAWL INTERSECTS A RURAL COMMUNITY. AS OF 12.31.2022, WITH A GRANT FROM THE PATTERSON FAMILY FOUNDATION, THE ST. SABINA WELLNESS CENTER BECAME AN INDEPENDENT 501(C)(3) ORGANIZATION.


HKI CREATED HEALTHE PERCEPTIONS, A COMPREHENSIVE, EVIDENCE-BASED APPROACH TO ADDRESSING SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL WELLNESS IN MIDDLE SCHOOLS. IT FOCUSES ON PREVENTION & EDUCATION, SCREENING & MAKING CONNECTIONS TO CARE. WHEN NEEDED, THE FOUNDATION SEEDS QUALIFIED MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONALS WITHIN THE DISTRICT & WORKS TO IMPLEMENT A MEDICAID REIMBURSEMENT MODEL. APPROXIMATELY 2,200 STUDENTS PARTICIPATED IN THE CURRICULUM DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR.
