1) OPERATED LA CLINICAL CAMELLIA IN MEMPHIS TN WHICH TREATED IN EXCESS OF 28,000 PATIENTS AND DELIVERED OVER 600 BABIES FOR MINORITY AND UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES DURING 2021. 2) PROVIDED PHYSICIAN STAFF TO SERVE LOW RESOURCE PATIENTS IN A RURAL CRITICAL ACCESS HOSPITAL IN COVINGTON, TIPTON COUNTY, TENNESSEE. 3) CONTINUED TO ADMINISTRATE AND FINANCIALLY SUPPORT AN ACCREDITED FELLOWSHIP IN SURGICAL FAMILY MEDICINE AND OBSTETRICS. 4) SUPPORTED THE LARGEST AND MOST COMPREHENSIVE BILINGUAL ENGLISH/SPANISH HEALTHCARE SERVICE IN THE STATE OF TENNESSEE. OVER 14,000 SPANISH SPEAKING PATIENTS ARE SEEN EACH YEAR. 5) OPERATED TELECONFERENCE FACILITY ENHANCING PATIENT CARE AND MEDICAL EDUCATION DURING THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC.
1) ADVISED AND SUPPORTED A BILINGUAL FAMILY MEDICINE CENTER AND FELLOWSHIP, IN CHATTANOOGA, WHOSE MISSION AND SERVICES EXEMPLIFY THE MISSION OF CAMELLIA FOUNDATION. PROVIDED BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CONSULTATION SERVICES, MEDICAL SUPPLIES AND STAFFING. ADDITIONALLY, DURING CORONAVIRUS PANDIMIC, PROVIDED COVID RELIEF FUNDING IN THE FORM OF CARES ACT GRANT AND PRIVATELY RAISED FUNDS TARGETING THE LATINO COMMUNITY IN GREATER CHATTANOOGA AREA. CLINICA CHATTANOOGA PROVIDED OVER 20,000 OFFICE VISITS AND DELIVERED OVER 200 BABIES FOR PATIENTS IN A LOW RESOURCE COMMUNITY. PROVIDED DONATIONS OF FUNDS TO ORGANIZATIONS WHOSE PURPOSES ARE IN AGREEMENT WITH THE MISSION OF THE CAMELLIA FOUNDATION. 2) PROVIDED SCHOLARSHIPS TO STUDENTS SEEKING MEDICAL TRAINING.
PROVIDED MEDICAL TRAINING AND DIRECT PATIENT CARE EXPERIENCE FOR FAMILY MEDICINE RESIDENTS FROM THE BAPTIST HOSPITAL-CHURCH HEALTH RESIDENCY TRAINING PROGRAM IN MEMPHIS AND FOR THE UNIVERSITY OF TENNESSEE CHATTANOOGA RESIDENCY IN FAMILY MEDICINE. BOTH OF THESE PROGRAMS ARE ACCREDITED BY THE AMERICAN COUNCIL ON GRADUATE MEDICAL EDUCATION ACGME. VOLUNTEER FACULTY WERE SUPPORTED BY FUNDING FROM THE CAMELLIA FOUNDATION.
