THE DATA QUALITY CAMPAIGN (DQC) IS A NATIONAL NONPROFIT, NONPARTISAN ADVOCACY ORGANIZATION LAUNCHED IN 2005 BY 10 NATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS. DQC IS BASED IN WASHINGTON, DC AND WORKS AT THE NATIONAL, STATE, AND COMMUNITY LEVELS. WHEN STUDENTS, PARENTS, EDUCATORS AND POLICY MAKERS HAVE THE RIGHT INFORMATION TO MAKE DECISIONS, STUDENTS ACHIEVE THEIR BEST. DQC IS LEADING THE NATIONAL EFFORT TO MAKE THIS VISION A REALITY BY WORKING IN A BROAD-BASED COALITIONS TO ENSURE THAT PEOPLE HAVE THE HIGH-QUALITY EDUCATION DATA THEY NEED AND THE TOOLS AND CONDITIONS TO USE IT TO HELP STUDENTS SUCCEED IN SCHOOLS AND BEYOND. DQC'S GOAL ARE: - INCREASE PUBLIC UNDERSTANDING OF THE VALUE OF EDUCATIONAL DATA. - ENSURE EVERYONE WITH A STAKE IN EDUCATION HAS TIMELY ACCESS TO THE INFORMATION NEEDED TO SUPPORT STUDENTS SUCCESS. - IMPROVE THE CAPACITY OF AND CONDITIONS FOR TEACHERS AND SCHOOL LEADERS TO USE DATA TO SUPPORT STUDENT LEARNING.
