THE MISSION OF JOSEPH'S HOUSE IS TO WORK COLLABORATIVELY WITH OTHERS TO AID OUR HOMELESS BROTHERS AND SISTERS BY OFFERING A CONTINUUM OF SERVICES INCLUDING EMERGENCY SHELTER AND ACCESS TO SUPPORTIVE HOUSING AND COMPREHENSIVE SOCIAL SERVICES.

IN 2021 JH PROVIDED DAY AND NIGHT SHELTER AND SERVICES TO 532 INDIVIDUALS. JH PROVIDED 19,157 BED NIGHTS AND 38,314 MEALS. JH PROVIDED 1,388 TARGETED CONNECTIONS TO COMMUNITY PARTNERS FOR MEDICAL CARE, MENTAL HEALTH, AND ADDICTION SERVICES. JH ASSISTED 100% OF ITS PROGRAM GUESTS WITH OBTAINING PERSONAL IDENTIFICATION AND ACCESSING PUBLIC BENEFIT PROGRAMS. JH REFERRED 116 GUESTS FOR EMPLOYMENT AND 84 SECURED JOBS. JH REFERRED 144 GUESTS FOR HOUSING AND 90 SECURED HOUSING.JH DID NOT MISS A SINGLE DAY OR NIGHT OF OPERATION IN 2021. WE EXPANDED STAFF, PROGRAM OFFERINGS, AND HOURS OF OPERATION. COVID-RELATED BUILDING IMPROVEMENTS WERE MADE AND BOTH VOLUNTEERS AND PARTNERS RETURNED LITTLE BY LITTLE. 2021 BROUGHT WITH IT CONTINUED PANDEMIC CHALLENGES BUT JH BOARD, STAFF, VOLUNTEERS, SOCIAL SERVICE PARTNERS, AND ESPECIALLY PROGRAM GUESTS ROSE TO THE OCCASION. WE CONTINUED TO PROVIDE LIFE-CHANGING SERVICES IN AN ATMOSPHERE OF COMPASSION AND RESPECT.
