NHTH'S MISSION IS TO PROVIDE HOMELESS INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES SAFE TEMPORARY SHELTER AND HOUSING AND HELP THEM TRANSITION TO INDEPENDENCE BY PROVIDING SUCH INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES WITH SOCIAL SERVICES ASSISTANCE IN LOCATING AND OBTAINING PERMANENT HOUSING, PUBLIC ASSISTANCE AND OTHER HELPFUL RESOURCES. THE COMPREHENSIVE AND CRITICAL SOCIAL SERVICES PROVIDE A CONTINUUM OF CARE THAT IS TAILORED TOWARD A PATH OF SELF-SUFFICIENCY WITH A GOAL TO PROVIDE SUCH HOMELESS INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES WITH THE TOOLS AND RESOURCES NEEDED TO PROMOTE LONG TERM SOLUTIONS IN ORDER TO STABILIZE AND MAINTAIN THEIR TRANSITION BACK INTO THE COMMUNITY.
