THE MISSION OF MIDDLESEX HUMAN SERVICE AGENCY, INC. IS TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE AND INDEPENDENT FUNCTIONING OF A WIDE VARIETY OF CLIENTS THROUGH THE DELIVERY OF AN EXTENSIVE SYSTEM OF COMMUNITY-BASED SUBSTANCE ABUSE AND SOCIAL SERVICE PROGRAMS.

SHELTERS- PROVIDE EMERGENCY SHELTER TO HOMELESS AREA RESIDENTS EACH NIGHT. STAFF AT EACH LOCATION ARE TRAINED TO PROVIDE A VARIETY OF SPECIALIZED AND ESSENTIAL SERVICES. SUPPORT STAFF ARE TRAINED TO PROVIDE ALL GUESTS WITH A SAFE AND SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT. CASE MANAGERS HELP GUESTS LOCATE PERMANENT HOUSING, PROVIDE SUPPORTIVE COUNSELING, REFER GUESTS TO OTHER AGENCIES, ORGANIZE IN-HOUSE AA MEETINGS, OFFER EMPLOYMENT COUNSELING GROUPS, AND ASSIST CLIENTS WITH ENTITLEMENT BENEFITS.
SUBSTANCE ABUSE- THE ORGANIZATION ALSO HAS RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT FACILIITES PROVIDING INTENSIVE SUBSTANCE ABUSE PROGRAMS. THESE PROGRAMS ENABLE RESIDENTS TO HELP THEMSELVES MAINTAIN SOBRIETY WHILE RENEWING THEIR CAREERS AND RESPONSIBILITIES TO THEIR FAMILIES AND SOCIETY.
