PANAH IS A CHARITABLE NON-PROFIT FOUNDATION HELPING VERY POOR AND NEEDY FAMILIES IN AFGHANISTAN. TODAY 75% OF THE POPULATION THERE ARE LIVING BELOW THE POVERTY LEVEL. THERE IS NO JOB AND INCOME FOR OVER 70% OF THE POPULATION. PANAH CHARITY IS WORKING HARD TO PROVIDE FOOD TO STARVING FAMILIES & CHILDREN, SHELTERS FOR HOMELESS WIDOWS/CHILDREN, CREATE EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES & SELF-SUFFICIENCY PROGRAMS, AND WORKING NON-STOP TOWARD REDUCING THE CHILD-LABOR BY SPONSORING POOR CHILDREN. THROUGHOUT THE YEAR PANAH CHARITY DELIVERS HUMANITARIAN AID IN KABUL AND PROVINCES. THIS FOUNDATION ALSO CREATES WATER WELLS IN VERY DRY AND POOR VILLAGES IN AFGHANISTAN TO PROVIDE CLEAN DRINKING WATER TO NEEDY FAMILIES. PANAH CHARITY FOUNDATION PROMOTES EDUCATION BY SPONSORING POOR CHILDREN AND HELPING THEM TO ATTEND SCHOOLS. PANAH CHARITY ALSO PROVIDE MEDICAL SUPPORT TO VERY POOR CHILDREN AND ADULTS. THE NON-PROFIT HAS AN OFFICE AND FEW EMPLOYEES IN KABUL, AFGHANISTAN.

PANAH CHARITY PROVIDED BASIC FOOD SUPPLIES PACKAGES TO 1150 POOR AND HOMELESS FAMILIES IN AFGHANISTAN IN THE MONTH OF RAMADAN 2021. THESE ARE FAMILIES WITH YOUNG CHILDREN LIVING BELOW THE POVERTY LEVEL. PANAH CHARITY PROVIDED FLOUR, RICE, COOKING OIL, TEA, SUGAR, BEANS, DAAL, AND SALT. DISTRIBUTION OF FOOD PACKAGES FED 8050 INDIVIDUALS FOR A MONTH FOR A TOTAL COST OF $73524. TOTAL ALLOCATION COST OF TRANSPORTATION TO DISTRIBUTION SITES, BANNERS, AND SOME SMALL MISCELLANEOUS EXPENSES WAS $1360.
PANAH CHARITY PROVIDED MONTHLY SPONSORSHIP TO ABOUT 103 POOR WIDOWS WITH YOUNG CHILDREN AND DISABLED INDIVIDUALS WHO CAN NOT WORK. WITH A MINIMAL MONTHLY SUPPORT, THE FAMILIES WERE ABLE TO BUY FOOD FOR THEIR CHILDREN AND SURVIVE. ALSO PANAH CHARITY HELPS SOME VERY POOR COLLEGE STUDENTS WITH THEIR SCHOOL SUPPLIES, CLOTHING, AND TRANSPORTATION EXPENSE IN ORDER FOR THEM TO CONTINUE WITH THEIR COLLEGE EDUCATION. TOTAL COST OF MONTHLY SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM WAS $75985 IN 2021.
PANAH CHARITY PROVIDED HEATING SUPPLIES, FOOD SUPPLIES, AND BLANKETS TO HUNDREDS OF HOMELESS FAMILIES IN 2021. WINTER IN AFGHANISTAN IS DEADLY AND HOMELESS FAMILIES USUALLY NEED LOTS OF SUPPORT IN THE WINTER SEASON. COST OF HEATING SUPPLIES PROVIDED IN JAN, FEB, MAR, NOV, AND DEC OF 2021 WAS $31946 US DOLLARS. ALLOCATED COST OF TRANSPORTATION, BANNER, AND LABOR ON THE DISTRIBUTION SITE WAS $680 US DOLLARS.
