PROVIDER OF NOT-FOR-PROFIT USDA SNAP-PROGRAM-APPROVED SERVICE OFFERING AFFORDABLE FRESH FRUITS AND VEGETABLES IN A FEDERALLY-DESIGNATED FOOD DESERT. SERVICE TARGETS NEIGHBORHOODS EXPERIENCING FOOD INSECURITY AND UNDER-RESOURCED SCHOOLS WITHIN THE REGION, SPECIFICALLY SERVING LOW-INCOME SENIORS, ELEMENTARY STUDENTS 98 OF WHOM QUALIFY FOR FEDERAL FREE AND REDUCED LUNCH PROGRAMS, VETERANS, AND FAMILIES WITH YOUNG CHILDREN. IN FY20/21, DIRECTLY SERVED MORE THAN 8,500 COMMUNITY MEMBERS AND DISTRIBUTED NEARLY 50,000 OF HIGH QUALITY, NUTRITIOUS FRUITS AND VEGETABLES WITHIN THE URBAN CORE OF MARICOPA COUNTY. MODIFIED SERVICE AND LEVERAGED COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS TO SAFELY PROVIDE PRODUCE TO COMMUNITY MEMBERS MOST AFFECTED BY THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC.
