2023 WAS AN EXTRAORDINARY YEAR AT FOCI MINNESOTA CENTER FOR GLASS ARTS. A YEAR OF CONTINUED FINANCIAL DIFFICULTY BUT ONE OF MAJOR GROWTH AND CHANGE. OUR NUMBER OF STUDENTS IN CORE CLASSES IS THE HIGHEST IT HAS EVER BEEN WITH OVER 450 STUDENTS IN OUR CORE CLASSES AND YOUTH CAMPS; OVER 2,000 PEOPLE PARTICIPATED IN DISCOVERY ACTIVITIES, AND OVER 700 PEOPLE CAME TO OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, EVENTS AND ARTIST RECEPTIONS. WE HAD A SUCCESSFULL YEAR AT THE STATE FAIR WITH THE ADDITION OF A NEW FURNACE! WE DEEPENED OUR COMMITMENT TO BUILDING THE DIVERSITY, EQUITY AND INCLUSION IN THE PIPELINE OF NEW GLASS TALENT. EVERY CLASS WE OFFER HAS A SPOT RESERVED FOR A SCHOLARSHIP STUDENT. IN 2023 WE CONTINUE TO EXPAND OUR PROGRAMMING TO INCLUDE PARTNERING WITH LOCAL AREA ORGANIZATIONS AND COLLEGES.
