Describe the Organization's Program Activity:

Part 3 - Line 4a

WASH SECTOR - OUR BASIC PROJECTS AND OUR EXTENDED PROGRAMS ALL FALL UNDER THE SAME WASH SECTOR DEVELOPMENT WORK, WITH THE MAIN WORK BEING WATER. WE HAVE COMPLETED OVER 11K DISCRETE PROJECTS, INTERVENTIONS, AND WATSAN DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS OVER THE LAST 17+ YEARS IN 87 COUNTRIES, AND HAVE DIRECTLY HELPED OVER 12 MILLION PEOPLE. THE "RIPPLE EFFECTS" OF THIS WORK ARE NOT ENTIRELY QUANTIFIABLE, AS ARE A LARGE NUMBER OF PEOPLE WHO ARE ABLE TO REMAIN IN SCHOOL, INFANTS AND CHILDREN WHO DON'T DIE OF WATERBORNE ILLNESSES (THEIR LEADING CAUSE OF DEATH WORLDWIDE), AND ENTIRE SWATHS OF PEOPLE WHO HAD BEEN REFUGEES OR MIGHT HAVE BECOME REFUGEES BEFORE WE REPAIRED THEIR VILLAGE WELL OR DRILLED THEM A NEW BOREHOLE. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO SAY WHAT THESE PEOPLE WILL DO WITH THEIR TIME AND LIVES. WE CAN SAY THAT WC HAS SPAWNED A LARGE NUMBER OF OTHER NONPROFITS AND NGOS. AMBITIOUS MULTI-YEAR PROGRAMS LIKE OUR WATER FOR EVERYONE INITIATIVE AND OUR FILTERS FOR LIFE PROGRAM HAVE WON AWARDS AND DEDICATED DOCTORS WHO ESPECIALLY LOVE THAT KIND OF WORK AND THE IMMENSE "BANG FOR THE BUCK" IT DELIVERS.
