THE FOUNDATION IS COMMITTED TO FINDING AN ANSWER IN THE FIGHT AGAINST ALL CANCERS AFFECTING WOMEN THROUGH SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH AND PROVIDING ACCESS TO QUALITY CANCER HEALTHCARE FOR UNDERSERVED WOMEN.

THIS PAST YEAR, THE KAY YOW CANCER FUND CONTINUED TO FOCUS ON EDUCATING, EMPOWERING AND EQUIPPING THE NEXT GENERATION IN THE FIGHT AGAINST CANCER THROUGH THE NATIONAL EMPOWERMENT TOUR. THE TOUR CONSISTED OF 30 PRESENTATIONS RESULTING IN A POTENTIAL REACH OF 1.5 MILLION. THE FUND'S NATIONAL GRASSROOTS MOVEMENT IN SPORT, PLAY4KAY, ALSO CONTINUED TO BE A CATALYST IN ELEVATING THE MISSION OF THE FUND. THE FUND AWARDED GRANTS TO UPSTATE CANCER CENTER IN SYRACUSE, NY FOR THEIR PEER TO PEER CANCER EDUCATION PROGRAM FOR UNDER-RESOURCED WOMEN AND TO UT SOUTHWESTERN SIMMONS COMPREHENSIVE CANCER CENTER IN DALLAS, TX, FOCUSED ON THE GENETIC DISSECTION OF THERAPEUTIC INTERVENTION TARGETS IN TRIPLE NEGATIVE BREAST CANCER, WHICH DISPROPORTIONATELY AFFECTS BLACK WOMEN.
