RECIPIENT OF 21ST CENTURY GRANT, PS9X.1. PSW WAS THE RECIPIENT OF A FIVE-YEAR $273,049 ANNUAL GRANT FROM THE NY STATE EDUCATION DEPARTMENT. WE CONDUCTED A FULL SERVICE AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM FOR 175 ELEMENTARY CHILDREN AT SALVE REGINA CATHOLIC ACADEMY IN BROOKLYN, PROVIDING THEM WITH ACADEMIC ASSISTANCE AND DEVELOPMENTALLY-APPROPRIATE SPORTS AND RECREATIONAL SERVICES.


RECIPIENT OF 8 OST GRANTS FROM THE CITY OF NY. 2. PSW WAS THE RECIPIENT OF EIGHT AFTER SCHOOL GRANTS TO PUBLIC AND CHARTER MIDDLE SCHOOLS IN UNDER SERVED COMMUNITIES IN NEW YORK CITY. THE PROGRAM BEGAN IN JULY 2014 (JUST BEFORE OUR FINANCIAL YEAR ENDED, BUT THE PROGRAMS ARE CUMULATIVELY VALUED AT $2,537,117 PER YEAR. WE ANTICIPATE SERVING OVER 500 CHILDREN OVER THE COURSE OF THE YEAR WITH A PROGRAM THAT INCORPORATES LEADERSHIP SKILLS, ACADEMIC INSTRUCTION AND SUPPORT, TOGETHER WITH STRUCTURED RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES AND TRIPS.


RECIPIENT OF CHILDCARE STABILIZATION (CCSG) GRANTS FROM THE CITY OF NY.3. PSW WAS AWARDED A TOTAL OF SIX CHILD CARE STABILIZATION GRANTS THROUGH NEW YORK STATE OFFICE OF CHILDREN AND FAMILY SERVICES FOR A TOTAL AMOUNT OF $781,466. OUR SPORTS CLINIC PROGRAMS, INCORPORATING OUR MIDDLE SCHOOL SOCCER LEAGUE SERVED OVER 750 CHILDREN FROM MANY OF NYC'S NEEDIEST COMMUNITIES, AT NO COST TO THE CHILDREN. WE ORGANIZED AFTER SCHOOL SOCCER PROGRAMS, WORLD CUP TOURNAMENTS AND NYC'S ONLY CITY-WIDE MIDDLE SCHOOL LEAGUE FOR PUBLIC AND CHARTER SCHOOL CHILDREN. IN ADDITION WE WERE APPROACHED BY NYC FC, THE NEWEST MLS FRANCHISE TO WORK WITH THEM WHEN THEY SIGNED FRANK LAMPARD, THEIR FRANCHISE PLAYER.
