AS CALIFORNIA'S ONLY NONPROFIT SPECIALIZING IN JUDGMENT ENFORCEMENT, WJC OFFERS FREE LEGAL REPRESENTATION, FOCUSING ON WORKERS WHO LACK ACCESS TO LEGAL SUPPORT. LEVERAGING INNOVATIVE LEGAL STRATEGIES-INCLUDING COMMERCIAL COLLECTION TOOLS-WJC HOLDS EXPLOITATIVE EMPLOYERS ACCOUNTABLE AND SEEKS TO RECOVER UNPAID WAGES FOR WORKERS ACROSS DIVERSE SECTORS. WJC COLLABORATES CLOSELY WITH COMMUNITY PARTNERS, INCLUDING DAY LABOR CENTERS, TO EXTEND OUR SERVICES AND ENSURE COMPREHENSIVE SUPPORT FOR WAGE THEFT VICTIMS. ADDITIONALLY, WJC EDUCATES WORKERS ON THEIR RIGHTS AND PROVIDES TRAINING FOR LEGAL ADVOCATES, ORGANIZERS, AND COMMUNITY ACTIVISTS IN APPLYING CORPORATE COLLECTIONS LAW TO ADDRESS WAGE THEFT. OUR WORK NOT ONLY HELPS SECURE COMPENSATION FOR INDIVIDUAL WORKERS BUT ALSO ADVANCES BROADER ACCOUNTABILITY IN EMPLOYMENT PRACTICES STATEWIDE.
