CHARITABLE PURPOSES WITHIN THE MEANING OF IRC SECTION 501C3. SPECIFICALLY THE ORGANIZATION SEEKS TO MOBILIZE CHURCHES TO TRANSFORM LIVES AND COMMUNITIES IN THE NAME OF CHRIST. THE ORGANIZATION SERVES AS A CLEARINGHOUSE BY RECEIVING REQUESTS, ASSESSING NEEDS AND CONNECTING THOSE IN NEED WITH CHURCH VOLUNTEERS AND COUNTY, STATE, AND NON-PROFIT SERVICE AGENCIES.

THE CLEARINGHOUSE IS THE FOUNDATION OF LOVE INC. REQUESTS FOR HELP ARE RECEIVED, SCREENED, AND REFERRED TO A LOCAL CHURCH MINISTRY OR COMMUNITY AGENCY. THROUGH THE CLEARINGHOUSE, LOVE INC IDENTIFIES GAPS IN SERVICES AND RESOURCES IN THE COMMUNITY AND HELPS THE CHURCH FILL THE UNMET NEEDS WITHOUT DUPLICATION. THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE SERVED WAS 1,149 THIS YEAR. THE NUMBER OF SERVICES RENDERED WAS 2,885.
THE MISSION OF THE NEWBERG COMMUNITY SHELTER IS TO PROVIDE WOMEN WITH A SAFE HOME AND OPPORTUNITIES TO ACHIEVE STABILITY THROUGH EMPLOYMENT AND FINDING AFFORDABLE HOUSING. THERE WERE SEVERAL VOLUNTEERS AT THE SHELTER. 15 COMMUNITY MEMBERS WERE SERVED DURING THE YEAR.
THROUGH RELATIONAL MINISTRY, LOVE INC TRAINS AND LINKS CHURCH MEMBERS WITH PEOPLE IN NEED ON A LONG-TERM BASIS. THIS INCLUDES CLASSES AND ONE-ON-ONE MENTORING TO HELP PEOPLE IN THE NEWBERG AREA WHO ARE STUCK IN THE CYCLE OF POVERTY. PARTICIPANTS ARE ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE FREE SERVICES THROUGH THIS PROGRAM. 54 ADULTS AND 16 CHILDREN WERE SERVED THIS YEAR.
