SUPPORTED THE FOLLOWING SERIOUSLY ILL CHILDREN IN 2021 (PLEASE VISIT WWW.ACCFCB.ORG FOR FULL EXPLANATIONS OF THEIR CRITICAL MEDICAL SITUATIONS): . EVA SCOTTO WAS DIAGNOSED WITH MITOCHONDRIAL DISEASE, AN INHERITED CHRONIC INCURABLE DISEASE. IT EFFECTS HER AUTONOMIC NERVOUS SYSTEM FURTHER CAUSING HER A GASTROINTESTINAL DISORDER AND IS LEGALLY BLIND. FURTHER SYMPTOMS OF THIS DISEASE INCLUDE POOR GROWTH, LOSS OF MUSCLE COORDINATION, MUSCLE WEAKNESS, HEARING PROBLEMS, LEARNING DISABILITIES, HEART DISEASE, LIVER DISEASE, KIDNEY DISEASE, RESPIRATORY DISORDERS, NEUROLOGICAL PROBLEMS AND DEMENTIA.EVA WAS BORN 4 MONTHS PREMATURE ON 12/4/07, WEIGHING JUST 18 OUNCES. EVA IS CURRENTLY UNABLE TO ATTEND SCHOOL. SHE ALTERNATES PERIODS WHERE SHE IS FED VIA IV OR THROUGH A TUBE IN HER INTESTINES. SHE WILL RECEIVE PHYSICAL AND OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY WHEN SHE IS FEELING WELL ENOUGH. SHE RECEIVES PALLIATIVE CARE AT ALBANY MEDICAL CENTER VIA A TEAM OF MEDICAL STAFF. SHE HAS UNDERGONE 13 SURGERIES AND 30 HOSPITALIZATIONS. EVA DOES NOT TOLERATE THE HEAT OR COLD VERY WELL AND HAS ISSUES REGULATING HER VITAL SIGNS. SHE TIRES EASILY AND IS TOTALLY INCONTINENT.$855 ANTHONY DISCIPIO WAS DIAGNOSED ON NOVEMBER 10,2020 WITH ACUTE LYMPHOBLASTIC LEUKEMIA SHORTLY AFTER TURNING 6 YRS OLD. SINCE THAT DAY ANTHONY HAS GONE THROUGH COUNTLESS ROUNDS OF CHEMOTHERAPY, IMMUNOTHERAPY, BLOOD/PLATELET TRANSFUSIONS AND ANTIBODY INFUSIONS. HE HAS BEEN INPATIENT AT ALBANY MEDICAL CENTER MANY TIMES, FOR AS MANY AS 19 DAYS AT A TIME. HIS AT HOME MEDICINE THROUGH THIS JOURNEY HAS RANGED FROM ANTIBIOTICS, TO CHEMOTHERAPY, TO TWO SEPARATE 28 DAY IMMUNOTHERAPY INFUSIONS THAT HE HAD TO RECEIVE WHILE WEARING A BACKPACK FOR THE ENTIRETY OF THE 28 DAYS, INCLUDING WHILE SLEEPING AT NIGHT.AT TIMES HE HAS HAD TO TAKE A DOZEN PILLS AT A TIME. ANTHONY IS BLESSED ENOUGH TO HAVE COMPLETED HIS CHEMOTHERAPY TREATMENT IN APRIL 2023 BUT CONTINUES TO HAVE MONTHLY IVIG INFUSIONS AND HAVE BLOOD COUNT CHECKS WHICH WILL CONTINUE FOR THE NEXT DECADE. $2117 ULRICH TEDESCHI IS A 7 YR OLD BOY WHO WAS BORN WITH NEUROBLASTOMA. HE HAS RELAPSED THREE TIMES. MOST RECENTLY MAY 2022. ULRICH HAS TO TRAVEL TO MEMORIAL SLOAN KETTERING IN NYC FOR TREATMENTS. ULRICH ALSO SUFFERS FROM CHRONIC BOWEL OBSTRUCTIONS, A SIDE EFFECT FROM RADIATION AND PAST SURGERIES. OVER THE PAST YEAR HE HAS BEEN HOSPITALIZED NUMEROUS TIMES. HE CURRENTLY HAS NO EVIDENCE OF DISEASE WHEN IT COMES TO NEUROBLASTOMA, BUT IS STILL TRYING TO MANAGE HIS CHRONIC BOWEL OBSTRUCTION ISSUES.
