SERVING THE COURAGEOUS LIVING WITH PULMONARY HYPERTENSION THROUGH SUPPORT, PROGRAMS, EDUCATION AND RESEARCH SINCE 2012. WE FUND MEDICAL RESEARCH AND IMPLEMENT PROGRAMMING FOCUSED ON REMOVING PATIENTS FROM ISOLATION, PROVIDING HOPE, AND ADDRESSING AND ALLEVIATING THEIR UNMET NEEDS THROUGH FINANCIAL SUPPORT.

TEAM PHENOMENAL HOPE PROVIDED $55,500 TO PULMONARY HYPERTENSION PATIENTS EXPERIENCING UNMET NEEDS AND /OR RESIDING IN A DISASTER AREA. FORMAL REQUESTS ARE SUBMITTED BY INDIVIDUALS AND REVIEWED BY A TEAM PHENOMENAL HOPE COMMITTEE. $500 PER INDIVIDUAL IS AWARDED BASED IN ACCEPTANCE OF THEIR APPLICANT FOR THE GRANT.


PHENOMENAL CONNECTIONS: PHENOMENAL CONNECTIONS MATCHES TRAINED PEER SUPPORTERS LIVING WITH PH TO OTHER PATIENTS AND PROVIDES UNDERSTANDING AND HOPE TO THOSE WHO NEED SUPPORT AFTER RECEIVING A PH DIAGNOSIS. PATIENTS ARE MATCHED BASED ON THE TYPE OF PH, AGE, GENDER, AND OTHER FACTORS THAT MAY FOSTER A BENEFICIAL CONNECTION AND EASE OF COMMUNICATION. PEER VOLUNTEERS ARE TRAINED IN BASIC COUNSELING SKILLS, ARE REGULARLY UPDATED ABOUT TPH AND COMMUNITY RESOURCES, AND ARE COMMITTED TO CONFIDENTIALITY.


TEAM PHENOMENAL HOPE PROVIDED $50,000 FOR RESEARCH TO FURTHER RESEARCH INTO PULMONARY HYPERTENSION FOR DR GU'S PROJECT ENTITLED, "SEX DIFFERENCES AND THE IMPACT OF HIGH INTENSITY INTERVAL TRAINING ON RIGHT VENTRICULAR METABOLISM IN PULMONARY HYPERTENSION."


ANNUAL PHENOMENAL HOPE CONFERENCE: KNOWLEDGE, RESEARCH & ADVOCACY IN PH IS A SYMPOSIUM OFFERING A COMBINATION OF ORAL PRESENTATIONS, EXPERT PANEL DISCUSSIONS, AND POSTER SESSIONS IN AN ENVIRONMENT THAT FOSTERS COLLABORATION AND A DEEPER EXPLORATION OF PULMONARY HYPERTENSION PATIENT-CENTERED RESEARCH. ESTABLISHED EXPERTS, THOUGHT LEADERS, YOUNG INVESTIGATORS, AND HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS COMMITTED TO ADVANCING CLINICAL SCIENCE AND CARE IN THE FIELD OF PULMONARY HYPERTENSION ATTEND AND ARE OFFERED THE OPPORTUNITY TO SHARE ORIGINAL RESEARCH.
