THE STATE OPIOID PROJECT'S OVERARCHING GOALS INCLUDE BUILDING THE CAPACITY TO PREVENT UNINTENDED PREGNANCIES, INCREASING ACCESS TO FAMILY PLANNING CARE, AND IMPROVING DETECTION AND TREATMENT ACCESS FOR WOMEN WITH OPIOID USE DISORDERS (OUD). THE ALLIANCE CONTINUED TO MAKE SIGNIFICANT PROGRESS TOWARD THESE GOALS IN FY22, WITH EACH PILOT BUILDING ON ITS PARTNERSHIPS FROM FY21 TO IMPLEMENT SEXUAL HEALTH EDUCATION, COUNSELING, REFERRALS FOR FAMILY PLANNING (FP) CARE, AND/OR SUBSTANCE USE SCREENING. IN FY22, ALL PILOT PROJECTS WERE HELPING TO ADDRESS AND ELIMINATE GAPS BETWEEN BEHAVIORAL HEALTH (BH) AND SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH (SRH), INCLUDING FOR STUDENTS SEEKING COUNSELING IN SCHOOLS. THE ALLIANCE ALSO BUILT NEW PARTNERSHIPS TO FURTHER ITS REACH THROUGHOUT THE STATE. NOTABLY, BEGINNING IN MARCH 2020, COVID-19 IMPACTED THE ALLIANCE'S PROGRESS TOWARD WORK PLAN OBJECTIVES ACROSS ALL PILOT SITES. THE ALLIANCE CONTINUES TO WORK TOGETHER TO PROVIDE NEEDED SERVICES AS POSSIBLE, UTILIZING TELECONFERENCING AND TELEHEALTH TO REACH CLIENTS AND STAFF, PROVIDING VIRTUAL TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES, AND CONTINUALLY EVALUATING OPTIONS FOR SERVICE PROVISION WHILE SOCIAL DISTANCING AND OTHER PROTECTIVE MEASURES ARE IN PLACE.
