OVERALL PROGRAM: THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES FINANCIAL COUNSELING AND MONEY MANAGEMENT FOR CONSUMERS WHO NEED AND REQUEST HELP. THE ORGANIZATION IS LICENSED BY THE SOCIAL SECURITY ADMINISTRATION. THE ORGANIZATION IS PAID FEES FOR THESE SERVICES. THE ORGANIZATION SERVICES APPROXIMATELY 94 CONSUMERS. THIS PROGRAM BENEFITS BOTH THE INDIVIDUALS IN THE MENTAL HEALTH SYSTEM AND THE COMMUNITY WHERE THEY LIVE, SUCH AS LANDLORDS AND UTILITY COMPANIES BY GUARANTEEING PAYMENT EACH MONTH. THROUGH THE YEARS, THE ORGANIZATION HAS LEARNED MUCH ABOUT HANDLING THE VARIOUS NEEDS AND DESIRES OF THE PARTICIPANTS. TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM: THE ORGANIZATION OFFERS FREE TRANSPORTATION FOR CONSUMERS WHO ARE NOT ABLE TO USE THE PUBLIC TRANSIT SYSTEM.
RENTAL AND AFTERCARE PROGRAM: THE ORGANIZATION RENTS LIVING SPACE TO CONSUMERS WITH MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES. THE CONSUMERS MUST EITHER BE MENTALLY OR PHYSICALLY DISABLED. THE CONSUMERS ARE REFERRED TO THE ORGANIZATION THROUGH SOCIAL WORKERS AND THE MERCER COUNTY HOUSING AUTHORITY. THE ORGANIZATION SERVICES APPROXIMATELY 134 CONSUMERS.
HUMAN SERVICES DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM: THE ORGANIZATION EXERCISES EVERY OPPORTUNITY TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC (5,000 SERVED) ABOUT MENTAL ILLNESS TO HELP REDUCE STIGMA. THE ORGANIZATION ADVOCATES FOR THE NEEDS AND RIGHTS OF THE MENTALLY ILL FOR 114 CONSUMERS.
