PROVIDING INFORMAL EDUCATION TO MEET THE NEEDS OF GIRLS IN GRADES KINDERGARTEN THROUGH 12TH GRADE. GIRL SCOUTS WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA SERVICES APPROXIMATELY 25,000 GIRLS THROUGH A VARIETY OF MEMBERSHIP PATHWAYS INCLUDING: TROOP, GROUP, INDIVIDUAL, AND INTEREST AREA. PROGRAM ACTIVITIES INCLUDE CAREER EXPLORATION, SELF-ESTEEM, DECISION MAKING, LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT, FITNESS, PERSONAL HEALTH AND WELLNESS, SPORTS AND CAMPING, AMONG OTHER THINGS. THESE ACTIVITIES ARE IMPLEMENTED IN VARIOUS SETTINGS INCLUDING CAMPS, LIBRARIES, SCHOOLS, CONGREGATIONS, AND OTHER COMMUNITY BUILDINGS. ACTIVITIES HAVE CONTINUED AND HAVE BEEN HELD EITHER VIRTUALLY OR WITH PROPER SOCIAL DISTANCING AND CAPACITY LIMITATIONS FOR SAFETY DURING THE PANDEMIC.
