LAND MANAGEMENT - THE TRUST PROVIDES FOR MAINTENANCE, CARE AND REPAIR OF PRESERVED AREAS. THE TRUST RECEIVED A GRANT FROM THE US DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE TO PLANT WILDFLOWERS ON THE PRESERVED LAND TO AID IN THE ONGOING EFFORT TO ENHANCE THE WILDLIFE'S HABITAT.
THE TRUST HAS ESTABLISHED THE EUNICE SYMONDS NATURE SCHOLARSHIP, WHICH WELCOMES DONATIONS TO FUND ANNUAL ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIPS. THIS AWARD SUPPORTS ATTENDEES OF THE BUSHY HILL DAY CAMP, SITUATED ON A SPRAWLING 700-ACRE EXPANSE IN DEEP RIVER AND IVORYTON, CT. ADDITIONALLY, THE TRUST OFFERS THE ALICE & DAVID CROSBY ENVIRONMENTAL SCHOLARSHIP, DEDICATED TO A CLINTON, CT RESIDENT GRADUATING FROM HIGH SCHOOL WHO IS COMMITTED TO PURSUING STUDIES IN ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION AND PRESERVATION.
