IS TO BRING TOGETHER, THROUGH AN EDUCATIONAL NONPROFIT SOCIETY, RADIOLOGISTS, PATHOLOGISTS, ORTHOPEDIC SURGEONS AND OTHER SPECIALISTS DEDICATED TO THE FURTHERANCE OF THE ART AND SCIENCE OF MUSCULOSKELETAL IMAGING AND TO THE UNDERSTANDING, DIAGNOSIS AND THERAPY OF MUSCULOSKELETAL DISORDERS.

MEETINGS AND REFRESHER COURSES WERE HELD IN VARIOUS LOCATIONS PROVIDING A FORUM FOR THE EXCHANGE OF KNOWLEDGE AND IDEAS AMONG ISS MEMBERS AND BETWEEN MEMBERS AND NON-MEMBERS AND PROVIDING CONTINUING EDUCATION IN THE FIELD OF MUSCULOSKELETAL DISORDERS. THE MEETINGS WERE ATTENDED BY RADIOLOGISTS WORLDWIDE AND PROVIDED INSTRUCTIONS IN THE LATEST METHODS, EQUIPMENT, AND PROCEDURES IN RADIOLOGY.
THE SOCIETY PUBLISHES THE SKELETAL RADIOLOGY JOURNAL, WHICH IS A PROFESSIONAL JOURNAL FOR RADIOLOGY AND RELATED FIELDS.
