SWEET AUBURN: SWEET AUBURN TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AND PREDEVELOPMENT ASSISTANCE FUND (SWEET AUBURN) THAT WAS CREATED TO ENCOURAGE THE REDEVELOPMENT OF THE EASTERN DOWNTOWN ATLANTA AREA, SPECIFICALLY THE SWEET AUBURN AREA. THE PROJECT IS TO PROVIDE REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT AND ECONOMIC VIBRANCY.
AFFORDABILITY TASK FORCE (A/K/A HOUSEATL) IS A CROSS-SECTOR GROUP OF CIVIC LEADERS COMMITTED TO BUILDING THE POLITICAL AND COMMUNITY WILL FOR A COMPREHENSIVE AND COORDINATED HOUSING AFFORDABILITY ACTION PLAN IN THE CITY OF ATLANTA. PARTICIPATING PARTNERS HAVE DEFINED THE PROBLEMS, IDENTIFIED THE BARRIERS TO SUCCESS, TAKEN A DATA-DRIVEN APPROACH, AND ENGAGED IN THOUGHTFUL PROBLEM-SOLVING SO THAT CIVIC AND BUSINESS LEADERSHIP IN THE CITY OF ATLANTA WILL HAVE A SHARED, COMPREHENSIVE SET OF POLICIES AND ADEQUATE FUNDING TO ADDRESS HOUSING AFFORDABILITY.
LEGACY MAKERS: LEGACY MAKERS IS A TRIBUTE TO THE MAYORS ALLEN AND JACKSON (ATLANTA LEGACY MAKERS). THIS INITIATIVE IS BEING LED BY CENTRAL ATLANTA PROGRESS IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE CITY OF ATLANTA. ATLANTA LEGACY MAKERS IS A PUBLIC COMMEMORATION OF TWO ATLANTA MAYORS, IVAN ALLEN JR. AND MAYNARD JACKSON. THROUGH THIS EFFORT, WE EMBRACE THE LEGACY THAT ATLANTANS ARE CHARGED TO CARRY FORWARD. THE PROJECT INCLUDES PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT, STORYTELLING/ORAL HISTORY ARCHIVE, AND A UNIQUE PUBLIC ART INSTALLATION THAT CELEBRATED THE TWO MAYORS.
