THROUGH OUR PARTNERSHIPS, WE GENERATE POSITIVE CHANGE BY PARTNERING WITH VISIONARY ORGANIZATIONS IN THE AREAS OF EDUCATION, CHILDREN AND FAMILIES THAT ARE IMPROVING THE WORLD. DURING 2021, WE PROVIDED MONETARY AND IN-KIND DONATIONS TO OTHER ORGANIZATIONS TOTALING $2,465,579.77 IN OUR TARGET AREAS AS FOLLOWS: $88,740.77 HOMELESSNESS, $996,257.05 FAMILIES AND $353,855.95 EDUCATION, MENTORING AND SCHOLARSHIPS. WE CONTRIBUTED AN ADDITIONAL $655,474 TO VETERANS' ORGANIZATIONS AND $371,252 TO OTHER ORGANIZATIONS. AS PART OF THE $1 MILLION PLEDGE TO INVEST IN EDUCATION PROGRAMS, MONAT GRATITUDE LAUNCHED ITS FIRST FORMAL GRANTS PROGRAM. AS AN ORGANIZATION, MONAT GRATITUDE BELIEVES IN STRENGTHENING AND INVESTING IN THE NONPROFITS THAT ARE ALREADY INNOVATING AND MAKING A POSITIVE IMPACT IN THEIR LOCAL COMMUNITIES. THROUGH THE MONAT GRATITUDE GRANTS PROGRAM, ELIGIBLE REGISTERED NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS WORKING IN THE AREAS TARGETED BY OUR PLEDGE CAN APPLY FOR GRANTS TO SUPPORT THEIR PROGRAMS AND SERVICES. DURING NOVEMBER 2021, MONAT GRATITUDE HOSTED THE 4TH ANNUAL FEAST WITH GRATITUDE IN PARTNERSHIP WITH FARM SHARE AND NEIGHBORS 4 NEIGHBORS, WHERE MORE THAN 100 VOLUNTEERS DISTRIBUTED MORE THAN 80,000 POUNDS OF FOOD TO 2,000 FAMILIES IN MIAMI-DADE COUNTY. IN ADDITION, EACH FAMILY WAS PROVIDED WITH A BAG OF ESSENTIALS ITEMS INCLUDING HAIRCARE PRODUCTS, BLANKETS, SOCKS, AND MORE. THE TOTAL ECONOMIC VALUE OF THE DISTRIBUTION IS ESTIMATED AT MORE THAN $500,000. 2021 NON-PROFIT IMPACT PARTNERS INCLUDE: BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS OF AMERICA, THE SALVATION ARMY, OPERATION GRATITUDE, THE 22 PROJECT, WOUNDED WARRIORS CANADA, THE TOY PROJECT (UK), AND MANY MORE.
THROUGH COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT PROGRAMS, MONAT GRATITUDE MOTIVATES AND INSPIRES OUR GREATER COMMUNITY TO TAKE ACTION. THIS SPIRIT OF GRATITUDE IS AT HELM OF THE MONAT GRATITUDE MISSION, PROMOTING POSITIVE CHANGE, AND CREATING PARTNERSHIPS WITH OTHER VISIONARY ORGANIZATIONS. IT GUIDES AND INSPIRES THE MONAT GRATITUDE GREATER COMMUNITY INTO ACTION, FOCUSING EFFORTS IN THE AREAS OF EDUCATION, CHILDREN, AND FAMILIES. EACH APRIL, MONAT GRATITUDE VOLUNTEERS LEAVE A POSITIVE IMPACT IN LAS VEGAS AS PART OF THE MONAT REUNION INCENTIVE EVENT. WITH A GOAL OF SUPPORTING LOCAL FIRST RESPONDERS, MORE THAN 300 VOLUNTEERS ASSEMBLED MORE THAN 6,000 CARE PACKAGES. THESE INCLUDED MONAT PRODUCTS, HAND SANITIZER, MASKS, A PARACORD BRACELET, LIQUID IV, SNACKS, GUM, AND THANK-YOU CARDS. IN SEPTEMBER 2021, MONAT GRATITUDE ANNOUNCED OUR COMMITMENT TO STAND IN THE GAP WITH A $1 MILLION PLEDGE FOR YOUTH EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS FOCUSED ON THE ARTS, MUSIC, ENTREPRENEURSHIP, AND ATHLETICS. THESE IMPORTANT AVENUES OF SELF-EXPRESSION AND ACHIEVEMENT HELP BUILD CONFIDENCE AND PROVIDE YOUTH WITH CREATIVE OUTLETS AND ENRICHMENT OPPORTUNITIES. AS MONAT GRATITUDE CEO LU URDANETA SAYS, "WHEN WE GIVE A CHILD THE OPPORTUNITY TO PLAY, CREATE, AND DREAM, WE ARE BUILDING OUR FUTURE." FUNDS RAISED TOWARDS THIS GOAL WILL BE DISTRIBUTED THROUGH MONAT GRATITUDE PROGRAMS AND A NEW GRANTS PROGRAM, WHERE CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS FROM AROUND THE WORLD WILL BE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR FUNDING SUPPORT. THE FIRST GRANT RECIPIENTS WILL BE ANNOUNCED IN JANUARY 2022. THE IMMERSIVE AND INSPIRING MONATIONS UNITED IS THE ANNUAL CONVENTION FOR MONAT GLOBAL. IT'S ALSO A SPECIAL TIME WHEN THE SPIRIT OF GRATITUDE IS EXPONENTIALLY INCREASED. ATTENDING MONATIONS WAS ALSO AN OPPORTUNITY TO MAKE A VISIBLE, POSITIVE IMPACT IN THE LOCAL COMMUNITY. WITH SO MANY GRATITUDE-FOCUSED MARKET PARTNERS GATHERED IN ATLANTA FOR MONATIONS IN SEPTEMBER 2021, MONAT GRATITUDE COORDINATED WITH THREE WONDERFUL ORGANIZATIONS: BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS OF ATLANTA, SOCCER IN THE STREETS, AND ATLANTA MUSIC PROJECT. VOLUNTEERS RESTORED SOCCER EQUIPMENT, ASSEMBLED MUSIC BINDERS FOR CHOIR STUDENTS, REPAINTED A MURAL, AND HOSTED AN ENTREPRENEURIAL WORKSHOP WITH CHILDREN. KNOWING THESE SEEDS OF GRATITUDE WILL YIELD A LASTING HARVEST OF GOODNESS FOR YEARS TO COME REMAINS SUCH A HIGHLIGHT. MONAT GRATITUDE WEEK 2021 CONTINUED A MONAT GRATITUDE BELOVED TRADITION OF GIVING BACK DURING THE FIRST WEEK OF DECEMBER! MONAT GRATITUDE DEDICATES THIS TIME TO SPREADING LOVE, HELPING OTHERS, AND MAKING A DIFFERENCE WELL BEYOND OUR INITIAL SOUTH FLORIDA ROOTS. THE SIXTH ANNUAL GRATITUDE WEEK WAS THE MOST SUCCESSFUL TO DATE WITH MORE THAN 1,500 VOLUNTEERS.
