OPERATION OF A TWENTY-FOUR HOUR CRISIS LINE TO ASSIST CALLERS WITH A FULL RANGE OF CLIENT ISSUES, INCLUDING: MENTAL HEALTH AND EMOTIONAL PROBLEMS, SUBSTANCE ABUSE AND ADDICTION, POVERTY AND MATERIAL NEEDS, CRIME AND FAMILY VIOLENCE (E.G. SEXUAL ASSAULT, CHILD AND ELDER ABUSE, DOMESTIC VIOLENCE), GRIEF AND LOSS, AND SUICIDE. CRISIS LINE VOLUNTEERS ARE RECRUITED, TRAINED, AND PROVIDE CRISIS LINE SERVICES. SERVICES INCLUDE THE CRISIS LINE, THE CALL4KIDS HOTLINE, THE ELDER LIFELINE, THE HIV CARE LINE, SERVING AS THE LOCAL AFFILIATE OF THE NATIONAL SUICIDE PREVENTION LIFELINE AND THE NATIONAL VETERANS HOTLINE. AFTER-HOURS ANSWERING SERVICES ARE PROVIDED FOR THE CRIME VICTIMS AND RAPE CRISIS CENTER.
