TO ENRICH THE CULTURAL LIFE OF THE CHAGRIN VALLEY AND NORTHEAST OHIO. THROUGH THE PRODUCTION OF LIVE THEATRE AND RELATED PROGRAMMING, IT ADVANCES THE SKILLS OF INDIVIDUALS WITHIN THE PERFORMING ARTS AND PROVIDES EDUCATIONAL AND OUTREACH PROGRAMS TO THE COMMUNITY.

THEATER PRODUCTIONS: FOR THE PAST 93 YEARS, CHAGRIN VALLEY LITTLE THEATRE HAS BEEN RECOGNIZED THROUGHOUT THE REGION AS A VENUE FOR HIGH QUALITY, AFFORDABLE PRODUCTIONS THAT SHOWCASE THE TALENTS OF AREA ACTORS AND DELIGHT THOUSANDS OF THEATER LOVERS. FOR THE 2022-2023 SEASON, THE THEATER WAS ABLE TO RETURN TO ITS PRE-COVID SCHEDULE, SPONSORING ITS ANNUAL MURDER BY THE FALLS (MBTF) FUND-RAISER, AS WELL AS 6 PRODUCTIONS ON ITS MAIN STAGE. 372 INDIVIDUALS PARTICIPATED IN MURDER BY THE FALLS, AND OVER 11,200 AUDIENCE MEMBERS ENJOYED A TOTAL OF 57 PERFORMANCES OVER THE SEASON.

YOUTH THEATER: THE CVLT YOUTH THEATER OFFERS YOUNG ACTORS AND TECHNICIANS A PLACE TO LEARN THE BASICS OF ACTING AND THEATRE PRODUCTION. WHILE THE THEATER IS NOT YET ABLE TO OFFER A FULL YEAR OF YOUTH PROGRAMMING, A 3-WEEK SUMMER THEATER CAMP WAS HELD DURING THE SUMMER OF 2023. 27 STUDENTS PARTICIPATED IN THE YOUTH THEATER CAMP.
CVLT ALSO OFFERS ADDITIONAL PROGRAMMING THROUGH ITS COLLABORATION WITH THE CHAGRIN DOCUMENTARY FILM FESTIVAL AND ITS AFFILIATION WITH THE CHAGRIN FALLS STUDIO ORCHESTRA, AS WELL AS RENTALS TO EN POINTE DANCE AND THE MUSICAL THEATER PROJECT. THE CHAGRIN DOCUMENTARY FILM FESTIVAL, WHICH RENTS CVLT AS ONE OF ITS VENUES, ATTRACTS OVER 5,000 MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC TO VIEW NUMEROUS DOCUMENTARY FILMS AT THE THEATER AND OTHER VENUES AROUND THE TOWN OVER 5 DAYS. THE CHAGRIN FALLS STUDIO ORCHESTRA WAS IN RESIDENCE FOR THREE PRODUCTIONS DURING THE 2022-2023 SEASON: A CONCERT VERSION OF KISS ME KATE IN THE FALL (3 PERFORMANCES); AN ANNUAL CHRISTMAS CONCERT (2 PERFORMANCES); AND A SPRING CONCERT (1 PERFORMANCE) WHICH FEATURED MUSIC FROM BACK TO THE FUTURE. OVER 150 PERFORMERS PARTICPATED, ATTRACTING OVER 870 AUDIENCE MEMBERS FOR THESE EVENTS.
