LOCATED AT 22 MAIN STREET IN COOPERSTOWN, THE COOPERSTOWN ART ASSOCIATION WAS FORMED IN 1928 BY A GROUP OF SIX PROFESSIONAL ARTISTS TO SERVE AND MAINTAIN INTEREST IN THE APPLIED AND FINE ARTS AND TO PROVIDE THE MEANS TO INCREASE THE COMMUNITY'S AWARENESS AND PARTICIPATION IN THE ARTS. WE WISH TO NURTURE THE DEVELOPMENT OF BOTH ARTISTS AND AUDIENCE IN ALL MEDIA AND TO EDUCATE THE YOUTH IN THE SURROUNDING COMMUNITY. THE CAA EXHIBITS APPROXIMATELY 20 SHOWS A YEAR, FEATURING A CROSS-SECTION OF STYLES AND ABILITIES AND BRINGING IN A MULTITUDE OF ARTISTS AND PATRONS. WE OFFER CLASSES, DEMONSTRATIONS AND LECTURES THROUGHOUT THE YEAR ALONG WITH OUR ONGOING FIGURE DRAWING CLASS.SPECIAL EVENTS LIKE FINE ARTS ON THE LAWN THE PUMPKIN GLOW AND CHAMBER OF HORRORS AND THE ADORN-A-DOOR WREATH FESTIVAL HAVE BECOME ESTABLISHED BELOVED TRADITIONS IN THIS COMMUNITY AND BEYOND.
